New Releases: Week of June 14, 2020

Coffee Memoirs:  Messed up world, check.  Need an escape, check.  Here are a few games to take your mind off things as long you have the time to indulge!  I am still eagerly anticipating DLC content on BL3 offering a more cowboy experience in the Borderlands universe.  Playing cowboys and bandits was something a few of us did growing up and here is at least one game to help us imagine that scenario with more of a god’s eye view.  In other news, it looks like you might see a few more remastered games like Burnout Paradise on Switch and a mix of other things on the radar.

Desperados 3
Release Date:
June 16, 2020
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

Real time tactics game play that will test your reflex ability to hit the quick save button at just the right moment. I say that in jest and seriousness at the same time but also realizing you may have a lot of fun doing this.  You have a squad of your “Desperados” to control on missions basically as a bunch of hitmen.  Watching what I did of the gameplay reminded me a lot of the walking dead phone game and seeing that there are some fun and unique environmental areas that you can also take advantage of in your missions.  The trailers are hardly ever gameplay revealing but you can think of your squad as your toy soldiers.

Disintegration
Release Date:
June 16, 2020
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One

FPS gameplay set in a futuristic world of robot rebellion, you escape with your robot compatriots and fight to level out the scales of justice.  You will spend at least a good portion of your time flying on a gun rig blowing up your opposition.  Blood splatter wasn’t to be seen but explosions and robot parts are plenty.
