New Releases: Week of January 5th, 2020

Happy New Year everyone!

I read a little post in reddit the other day that sated we are the same distance away from 2050 as we are 1990. That resonated with me as the 90's were my 20's where I played games too much, drank too much, had a whole ton of fun and met Mrs. Soup. From my standpoint those days do not seem that far away but that simple little observation made me feel old. It also got me wondering if I am still going to be playing video games in 2050 when I am 80? The answer to that question better be a resounding "YES!"...I am making that statement right now. ChunkySoup will be playing video games in some way shape or form when he is 80 years old!

I am sure we will be playing the n'th iteration of Modern Warfare, Halo: Reach and Minecraft and I can guarantee I will suck at all of them just as I do today.

If you were hoping for a big release in the new year to get you through to spring you may have to wait a little while longer. However, I guess that depends on your affinity for a certain game and on a certain platform. Lets see what we have in store for us this week.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
Release Date:
January 9th, 2020
Platforms: PC

I struggle with Monster Hunter. I do enjoy the game but it kicks my ass and even when I send up a flare for help I rarely get any. I think i may have progressed through the story before I was ready as after I got past the monster at the wall everything just got way harder and all I do it die. If you want to get back into Monster Hunter and guide my sorry ass through it hit me up on Xbox! If you only play on PC and rock the game then Iceborne is for you and I hope you enjoy it!

PS. I really don't know how to score tennis so I made most of that stuff up...
