New Releases: Week of February 16th, 2020

We've got a long weekend up here this weekend so I am looking forward to spending my day off on Monday playing some games. Likely some Outer Worlds, maybe some Demon's Tilt, I haven't logged into Borderlands 3 in a while so I may spend some time there. Basically going to just relax before Tuesday's shit hits the fan!

Before that fit hits the shan lets look at what's up and coming this week shall we?

Bayonetta & Vanquish: 10th Anniversary Bundle
Platforms:
PS4, Xbox One
Release Date: February 18th, 2020

You've got Bayonetta in my Vanquish! No, you have Vanquish in my Bayonetta! If you enjoyed the power armor and clothes made out of hair action 10 years ago, then have I got a deal for you!  You can have both games for less than 33% off the price of one game! How can you say "NO!" to that deal? Did I forget to mention 4k / 60fps?

Persona 5 Scramble
Platforms:
PS4, Switch
Release Date: February 20th, 2020

Gotta be honest with you here, I have no idea what the Persona games are actually about but I do know the people who love them...love them a lot. So if you fall into that category then you have something to look forward to this week!

Double Dragon & Kunio-kun: Retro Brawler Bundle
Platforms:
PS4, Switch
Release Date: February 20th, 2020

Oh Double Dragon, I so wanted to be good at you. I wasted probably hundreds of dollars filling your slots and I never got better. Then you had a sequel and one after that and while I didn't spend nearly as much money on those, I did play them enough to remember being terrible at them too.  Now, I have never heard of Kunio-kun before but I can say after watching this trailer that I probably would be just as bad at those titles but also..WOW! There are a lot of titles in this bundle. I counted 18 different titles and that right there is some good retro value for your money folks!

Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story
Platforms:
PC, PS4, Switch
Release Date: February 20th, 2020

A Japanese hack and slash that from the trailer I just watched looks gorgeous and could be a ton of fun for those you needing to fill your hack and slash itch. Take a look at the trailer below and let me know what you think in the comments.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter prologue
Platforms:
Xbox One
Release Date: February 18th, 2020

Kingdom Hearts 3 was the first KH game on Xbox One. I had fun playing the game but man that story was confusing as hell! Maybe the 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will fill things in for me. I hope so. I also hope for about 50% shorter cut scenes. I swear at least 1/3 of the total playtime was watching cut scenes. I probably could have skipped them but I was so confused about the story I kept watching them hoping something would make sense. I got the gist of the story but why does everyone have like 6 different names?!?!?

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition
Platforms:
Switch
Release Date: February 20th, 2020

Yet another blast from the past this week. Devil May cry 3 drops for the Nintendo switch. DMC 3 came out around the same time as Bayonetta and Vanquish but I have to say the difference betweeen thes two are night and day.  DMC really looks and feels 10 years old but hey, for $20 you get the main game, Dante's brother Vergil and 9,999 floors of the Bloody Palace. So, there's that I guess.
