Another year, and another LAN T-shirt contest. This time we aim to give away 2 tickets for the Chicago Lan. All members need to do is pull out their colored pencils and help us design the new logo for this years Chicago Lan Party.
Not only will the win and runner up get their free tickets to the LAN this year, but first place will receive his very own T-shirt as well as have his work seen on the Ts of countless members attending this years 2old2play Lan party in Chicago. As with every Lan, the proceeds all go to help charity and this year is no different. We figured a contest would be a perfect way to kick start the pre-lan hype and remind our members that the LAN is just around the corner. If you haven't already, get your tickets NOW at http://www.2old2play.com/lan
So What Is The Contest?
Until the LAN is upon us, use this time to hone your art skills and try to come up with something creative for this years LAN T-shirt. Site members can use any form of media that they want to create their logo so long as it can be posted on the forums via jpeg/gif/png for the rest of the site to vote on. All entries should be sent in within two weeks of this contests start date of Friday April 28th 2009. In case you are wondering, that means tomorrow. Images should be at a minimum of 200dpi, so digital images should be uploaded at this dpi, or higher. If you don't know what DPI means, I'm sure someone in the contest forum can help you out. We basically need the image to be large enough so that we don't lose a ton of detail when we go to print on the shirts.
The contest entries will end May 26th and then will be judge upon via poll by the entire site. The winner will receive 1 free pass to the 2009 Lan party as well as a print of his own shirt. The runner up will also receive a Lan Ticket and honorable mention in the follow up post.
Who Can Enter?
In order to enter you must be a member of 2old2play, over the age of 25, and have signed up on the site as recently as December 1st 2008. So if you are thinking of signing up with the site just for the contest, think again. We want to ensure that no youngins try to sign up just for the free stuff. It also helps if you have some basic knowledge of the art, but in know way does actual art skill play a roll in this contest. The sky is the limit on how you want to design your shirt. We only ask that you don't use copy written materials to do so.
Where do I Send My Images?
All Images can be uploaded to sites like Flickr, Photobucket, or any other free image hosting site and then posted on the contest forum post below. You can also find the post sticky'd in the off topic section of 2old2play's main forum.
What Are the Rules?
The rules are simple. Members are allow to create one logo per person, but can have as many color variations that they want for that logo. We would say members can have more logos, but we don't want to have to go through a million images per person when voting. Please remember that images should be at least 200dpi for in order to print on the shirts. That doesn't mean that the logo you post must be 200dpi, just that the final image we ask for meets those requirements.
The winner will be chosen June 5th at the end of the sites one week voting process. Remember you MUST have been a member of 2old2play before the December 1st 2008 date in order to enter. All entries from members having joined after this date will be null and void.

Disclaimer: The Contest will be begin Wednesday April 29th, 2009 and will end May 26th, 2009. All entries must be into 2old2play by May 26th to count for the contest. The winner will be contacted via site PM so please make sure you check your PMs May 26th. If the winner does not respond within one week of the contests end, the runner up will be chosen.
The tickets will not be shipped to your home. A simple ID will get the winning member into the LAN. 2old2play, 2old2play sponsors, nor employees of 2old2play or sponsors may be held liable for any warranty, costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of usage of any winners of a prize once possession has been taken of the product by winner.
