Is your retro playing up to par?

So I was thinking the other day about the games we started out with and the games we have now. Do you think you could play that game like you did when you were a kid? Meaning where we play newer games and have gotten spoiled in some sense could you go back to a retro game beat your old score or even beat that game like you did when you were a child?

Personally I don't think I could play them as well as I did just on the fact those old games are sooooo nonforgiving and the newer games give you a lot room to mess up
