WTCC 2014 rf1 mod

the sound of that Seat brings back good memories lol.

Tried it and has the same issues as VTCC with the AI's gearing too low and all cars end up catching fire on track.

Disappointing but honestly not surprised there hasn't been a stable fully functional touring car mod to date on rfactor, I've pretty much given up hope until isi opens up there wallets and get an official series and modders stop converting old broken content I'll be doing my touring car racing in other games.

Heh they would need much deeper pockets than they have, a small niche developer just can't afford a license like that. Shame that mod is bugged, but maybe an update will be in the offing before too long it is not yet a 1.0 so is probably released for open testing.

Personally I am not buying the small under funded dev team anymore, they are linked to the richest Motorsport league with there rf pro simulator as well as there driving school simulators they must be generating some decent cash?  Personally I feel they thought the modding community would be as successful as rf1 giving no real need to lock down more licenses as modders would just fill the void.  Kunos and Reiza are both small teams as well and look what content  licenses they have been able to produce!  If they can't afford a series why not create fantasy cars, especially for classes they have content for that have multiple drive trains for example the btcc honda it's great that we have a fwd model to work off of but what about a rwd model?  A good example is Petra's wtcc mod she ripped the models from simbin and used the honda physics for the Cruz and just left the bmw as is which shows in the gameplay.

as for this mod hopefully they will update it and fix the issues, but with all past touring car mods they ve just been race07 rips with new skins.  From the dozen  I've tested I believe only one was from scratch and the modder wasn't much of a physic guru :) so iam not expecting much with this since they all seem to have the same under lying issues

You don't have to buy it mate, it's a fact like it or not. Only console developers have that kind of finantial clout. If they could get that license they would, it would sell the game like hot cakes the very fact they have got the Honda and Pirtec teams shows they are in there, and hope that they can get other teams to follow suit, but a BTCC license...Needs a Codemasters and very deep pockets. I think rF2 has more cars than AC does it not? As for fantacy cars, it is a decition made that ISI produce cars with as much input from teams and engineers as possible, good thing? bad thing? or just a thing. You pays your money and takes yer pick.

As for this mod, well time will tell won't it :)

0.9v has been released  with .96v coming in July !

I have successfully converted/updated and fixed a majority of issues in the wtcc 13 to GSCE  :)  iam currently awaiting 1 last  minor fix to get the bmw led rpm meter working and permission to release it publicly  :)

once I get the go ahead it will be released over at race department  and here.  If anyone is interested in bug testing and helping me finalize the real feel  file please msg and I'll send you the file .

my goal  is to a have a realistic feel  900 degree with no canned affects ....tho those who enjoy canned clipping can be added by increasing the  FFb effects.

whats new.....

no more short gears tho I am looking into if the wtcc has a top speed limit

no cars on fire

gsc quality tire sounds out with the shitty rf1 ones :)

realfeel settings

much better ai which are a joy to race against

I also have 2 other projects in the works a wtcc track pack but must decide if the visual quality is up to gsc standards, oh ya  I also converted our BTCC mod but it still needs a lot of work :)

When the wtcc 14 hits 1.0v I'll contact them and ask them for permission to convert this mod as well

on another note  I've been talking to the devs at reiza  and they have informed me that a lite version will be available soon  as well as updated graphics, dynamic road rubbering and lots of new content!

Best $24 I've spent to date, tho the price will be going up once the next update is released I believe

edit:  I've also talked to andreasFSC the creator of the super touring. 98 mod for race07 which is an absolutely fantastic mod and an updated version of the rf1 version evomonkey converted were just trying to figure out how lol
