I still play. Stuck on Act II inferno with my Wizard.....repair costs far outweigh the gold I get so I had to play a couple of farmers. I have a Monk, Barbarian and WD on Nightmare.
On another note, I played Path of Exile all weekend and it was pretty good. It is a beta so there were issues but I liked it. Enough to plop down my 10$ for the beta key.

I should be finished gearing my barb this weekend. I will be able to tank for anyone with high damage that has trouble staying alive. I'm shooting for 10k armor, 1k+ all resists, 20k damage, and 40k life. He'll have 1500 or so loh as well.
I moved on to Path of Exile... it's a much more intelligently thought out game in terms of loot progression and late game content. You can also party up with up to 8 people and best of all it's free to play. It's in closed beta right now, you have to add $10 to your in-game wallet to get a free beta code but it should be reaching public beta by the end of the year. All paid upgrades are cosmetic or utility based such as adding more tabs to your loot chest. It's truely free to play and not pay to win. I'd encourage anyone who's a fan of Diablo to check out Path of Exile.
With the appropriate items in your inventory you can add gem slots to items, change the colors of sockets, re-roll item stats, link gem slots which add effects and can roll a rare out of a regular or magic item. Hell.... even if you have the gear your love late game and are doing the end game map portal things, you can pick up loot you don't really need just to collect it to forge it into runes to re-roll the special end-game maps where you find the really good items. It's pretty awesome.
The game also runs better that Diablo 3 on lower end hardware . I had to run D3 on minimum resolution and all eye candy options set to minimum and it ran like i was running in mud all the time but playable. Exile I can run at 720p with medium to full eye candy and it runs 30fps.
I might be heading to PoE. Tried act 3 inferno and it was just stupid. I don't mind games being hard but frozen arcane desecrator fast elites is just bs. Im almost tempted to reinstall D2 if I can remember.any of my accounts.
Still playing on and off. I'm really disappointed with the mess Blizz made of the storyline, especially considering they were hyping D3 up to be the most lore-intensive of the three games. I get the sense that the story was slapped together by several people, all sitting in different rooms. And don't get me started on the new trend of talkative villains...
I still play tons. But until they fix the multi player magic find in 1.04 I'd rather not party up unless it's to help someone or run lower levels. end-game is not for multiplayer.
