What have you been playing?

Well apart from Battlefield 3 of course, I have to confess I've been spending some time playing iOS games on my phone. I know, not exactly retro but I like to think of them as "retro-like" experiences.

Two games I really enjoyed were Pen and Paper Knights, which is a simple RPG built for phones and Plague Inc.  PandPK's is great fun and for 89c I probably played for about 10 hours. In Plague Inc you're a disease and have to kill mankind. It's a simple strategy game and again well worth the 89c price.

Other than that I finished Touch My Katamari on vita.

Right now playing the original Shadowrun for SNES on emulation in preparation to play Shadowrun Returns which will be released in June.  It's amazing how Shadowrun still stands up this many years later.     I also play Pen and Paper Knights and also Cthulu saves the world on my android tablet.  Both are great retro style rpg's with a ton of humor  which for the 5 bucks I spent is a steal.   Oh and anybody looking for a homage to the 80's action movies of our youth should check out Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon.  Basically Far Cry 3 with 80's retro game and movie story and over the top funny references.   Loving it so far .

I played through Pen and Paper Knights on my phone and loved it! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a retro style rpg.

Kinetica just came in today.  I am looking forward to firing that up.  So far it seems to be compatible w/my PS3.

What's kinetica? Sounds like a fitness game. I've been playing the New Fire Emblem game on 3DS.

It was a ps2 racing game, and it runs perfect on the ps3.  I am thrilled that I got the one w/backward compatibilty.  I picked up whiplash (ps2 platform game).  I am slightly pissed that I got rid of all my ps2 games a long time ago.

Cool it looks a bit like xtremeG. I think I still have that on N64 and maybe gamecube. I love the Wipeout series as well.

Its funny I love RPGs and Mario platformers but I could never get into this series. I've tried multiple times but always end up giving up after an hour.

That is odd, not too many people that like RPG's don't like Mario RPG.  ...or Paper Mario, etc.

I've been playing Tiny Death Star on android for a few months. You only need to play for a couple of minutes a day and its great fun if you like Star Wars.

Not truly retro but modern retro maybe.

My retro gaming has come to a halt.  I made the mistake of putting Skyrim in the 360.
