i think im going to start reading this (looked up a few of the online ones and it seems entertaining), anyone know any good bundled deals where i can pick up the first few/several at a fair price?
It's been a great read so far, and could easily double as a weapon if someone broke in your house since it's a thousandish pages and weighs a ton. lol.
Its one of the three comics I buy regularly. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Prediction that may double as a spoiler:
I think one of the new communities the group will find as part of Jesus' network will turn out to be Woodbury, or maybe even the prison taken over by Woodbury. Not that Jesus is trying to trap the group, but just as coincidence.
The landscape is changed just a bit now, now that we learned a bit more about the group in 95 (IMO, the issue was kind of disappointing). Even so.......
In the last couple pages of the Governor/Woodbury story arc, the gun shots faded into "click click clicks" as the prison was being overrun, which I thought signaled the extinction of the Woodbury crew.
But, it would be very cool if you're right - perhaps the people from Woodbury are peaceful now, but how would Rick deal with meeting up with them again?
Between Rick and Michonne, I don't see that going well. The Governor also propagandized the town before the end of that story arc, so I'd like to see what happens.
I picked up #100 today. I grabbed the "Something to Fear" cover for reading, but then I was tempted by Adlard's other cover, the chromium wrap.
I don't know a damn thing about collecting comic books but I figured it's only $10 and who knows if it'll ever be worth something. But now I'm hoping somebody here knows - is there a potential that the chromium cover will be a collector's item? Or is it just a comic book gimmick that hasn't ever worked in the past?
And, regarding the issue itself:
My stomach is still in a knot after reading. Maybe it was Negan's absolute brutality, or maybe it was the impending sense of you-are-fucking-fucked throughout the whole issue, but this issue actually upset me more than anything else in the series. The Governor was sadistic, yes, but Negan is a calculating bad-ass. I look forward to seeing more of him.
It will likely be worth something later on, I bought one of the standard edition to read and one of the metallic to save.
I'm glad someone else feels the way I do, in regards to your spoiler. I've never had a physical reaction like that to a comic book before.
I actually just started as well, and picked this up from Amazon.
