It's a p2p connection. So far it feels a bit like MW3 has been where you open fire on a guy and he kills you in 2 bullets, but it's also opening day for the beta so it's possible that's got something to do with it.

Good luck playing with your friends though. Teams of 6, BUT you can only spawn on your squad of 3 and you're only allowed to bring 4 friends in the party so one person will always be on a different squad from the rest of you and the 5th person just has to get lucky. Apparently you can't just bring a full team to play.

If you want to kill people, use the rifleman. The little SMG the engineer gets is only slightly better than a pellet gun but any of the rifles will get a kill damn near instantly, and the grenades have a TON of range and explode on contact.

Having played a few games I've got a better impression of how things go. This isn't anything like Ghost Recon at all. If you think of it more like a 3rd person COD you're pretty close. Quite a bit of running and gunning. With the UAVs and sensor balls constantly being thrown around, cover might as well be made of glass. You'll see the other team pretty much constantly.

The weapon customization is nice. You get a TON of options. Everything from the barrel to the trigger to the gas system can be changed. Usually it's trade offs between control, range and RoF. It does what Battlefield 3 does where your equipment for the ghost team doesn't transfer to the bodark team, so you have to set up your weapons for each team. And unlocking stuff takes FORVER. Your first weapon unlock isn't until level 24, and you have to level up each class seperately so it's certainly going to take plenty of time before you earn everything.

The movement feels nice. You can easily move from cover to cover just by holding down the sprint button, and you run much faster going from cover to cover than you do just running around. There is a sort of Gears of War kinda wallbounce going on, if you cancel out of the slide you can ping pong across the map moving crazy fast.

The game certainly needs some work, but it is a beta. Assault rifles need to be toned down, grenades need to be WAY toned down. There's no way to get away from them even if you see the guy throw them and start running. Not being able to play with more than 2 other people is also pretty disappointing, but I'm sure that's something fixable.

First weapon lock at level 24?  I got some weapon unlocks at level 4.

Also, some things need to be unlocked by reaching a certain level, while others are unlocked using points earned from matches

Nah, not that underbarrel stun gun. Meant the actual weapon unlocks, a new SMG or whatever.

I work at Raptr and we're still giving away a ton -- as in thousands -- of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier beta keys (Xbox 360) as part of our new Raptr Rewards system. Basically, if you play a previous Ghost Recon or Assassin’s Creed game, or any one of a bunch of other popular 360 games, you can earn a beta key.

Full details: http://raptr.com/rewards/ghost-recon-future-soldier-beta

This is only valid in North America, sorry! That part is not our fault!

So if you're still in need of a code, check it out!
