It was fun running practice (No Issues) laps last night after a 6 month hiatus from racing due to the frustrations of dealing with Forza, Microsoft, incompatible licensed products and their servers. When the race finally started I didn't even last a 1 lap before getting the boot from "LIVE". There is something inherently wrong with this game and from what I see and only my opinion nothing has changed.angryangryangry...Time for another hiatus!!

That was definitely some shit-ass luck Wheels. You know what you need? You need to join us some Thursday evening for a GT5 hiatus. We're still getting 8-9 people pretty much every week and we've been doing it for so long we all know each others tendencies which aids in awesome head to head (to head) battles. Rarely are my weekly Forza run events more exciting than our GT5 races.

Another fun race guys! Could have thrown a blanket over 2nd through 8th place for the first half of the race. Was funny watching a few people roll their car and saying bye bye as I gained yet another position (Matt, Jimeez to name a couple smiley)

 

Now to Surf…what can I say bud, you were a thorn in my ??? it seems the entire race so thanks for that it added to the excitement especially on the later laps when we had  a few hundred feet gap from third spot (a virtual life time with these cars smiley)

 

Early on I fell back a bit and whose behind me? YOU! Mid race still near the back of the pack and whose behind me (again)? YOU! after the accident I made it to third spot, few laps later into first and lo and behold who do I see behind me again? That’s right YOU!

 

Threatening to pass (or passing) almost every time we drove down the main straight. A couple times earlier in the race you did go by but I was very surprised you didn’t take me at some point near the end of the race as well (of course I opened up that possibility when I fucked up the last turn with 4-5 laps to go else I doubt you ever would have had the chance???). It was almost as if you opted to stay behind me going into turn one vs. having us two wide through turn one but how much fun would that have been?...we could have handled it bud no worries there!

 

But then I got to thinking and I remember on one lap heading into turn one you were literally up my ass. I looked in my mirror and what a surprise when I could actually make out the smile on your in-car drivers face. That’s when I realized you were enjoying riding my ass more so than giving a go at passing me. Listen bud, I don’t mind battling you for positions on the track, in fact I relish those opportunities but Parcells prefers not to be involved in your homophobic romps or whatever the politically correct jargon you homos are using these days so please focus on just the racing from now on if you don’t mind?

Don't pay any attention to him Matt. Parcells had a front row seat to this incident and you were clearly using Kochino's car to keep you holding your line but he messed up because he wasn't prepared to carry two cars through that corner vs. just his own..it was obvious to me that was your plan, you know, with the speed you were carrying into turn 4!

laugh  Haha Parcells!!!!   Yeah I had  a little problem with my start and fell directly  to the rear of the pack. 

Figured I just follow everyone and wait for the opportunities as they came along. 

Turned out that I ended up following you through and around most of the incidents.

All that said...I think it was you who kept shaking that cute little bumper of yours the whole time, trying to distract me.  Maybe it's time for you to come fully out of the closet and just enjoy what you were  begging for.wink

This is just the beginning you understand.  With me running EUSL4  I'm sure you'll being enjoying my molestations quite a lot.  I  only hope to be  "shakin" my bumper at you instead of the other way around. !!!!

Embarassed to say my throttle problems during practice and the initial race laps was caused by me having Autobrake enabled.  Turns out, if you switch steering difficulty between Normal/Simulation/Assisted as soon as you select assisted steering, the brake mode changes but doesn't revert back when you change back to Normal/Simulation.  Couldn't understand why my throttle kept cutting out, so now I know  frownfrown

Might be something other folks with Fanatec wheels might want to check in future, if they are experience throttle problems

Nice win Parcells.  My 5th or 6th place finish was well deserved.  I was feeling guilty after I was runnning away at the front and decided to drop back to 3rd or 4th to race with everyone for the last 8 or 9 laps.  Then proceeded to roll at the cichane at the top of the hil on that lap!  Right to dead last.  Serves me right for messing around.  Great racing though.  Lots of fun.  Thanks all

Gentlemen

Sorry I had to drop out last night. I was having trouble shifting up on my paddle shifter. Soon it became apparent what the issue was when the shifter broke off into my hand. The piece of plastic that extends from my GT-2 Wheel to receive the paddle broke off. If anyone had any similar issue with the paddle let me know. It is still under warranty and hopefully should be no issue with fixing...Gotta Love It!!laughlaughlaugh

Hats off to emezmer for moving up to the Veteran group...was a very difficult track to be in the higher groups because the only decent chances we usually have to pass is to keep the momentum up through turns and on this course/car that is easier said than done.

 

First Tuesday night race Parcells didn't have quite as much fun as normal but that was mostly from my own miscalculated exuberance early on in the race. My wheel issues didn't matter at that point cause I already screwed myself but I'll be back next week breathing down the leaders neck...in an attempt to coax them off the track yes

 

That said, I did manage my one goal for the night of breaking the 1:22 threshold so that's something. Too bad you guys didn't get to see it...just about every other lap I went wide on the second to last turn dirtying the current and next lap so I had one clean lap all race when I stopped on track to reset my wheel for an immpressive clean 1:51.xx

I truly resemble that remark .  Last week I was running amateur .  This week I was running in Pro-Am.  It really doesn't matter all that much since I apparently can't keep it together for a full race distance sad.  Great fun though after some very close racing all night.  Thanks all...... and nice win SLIMV3n0m

I was really shocked that I was able to run a 1:21 with the Veteran handicap, but somehow I was able to still run pretty fast and consistent.  That is until the second to last corner where I flipped it, and then immediately after getting it upright I flipped it again on the last cornerangry giving up a cushy third place finish for the bottom of the pack.

Oh well, thems are the breaks some times.

Congrats !! SLIMV3n0m on a great win !!  I had some great battles all race.  About mid race I found myself right on skiwinv bumper for many laps.  But couldn't find a way to get by.  He never gave inch....Great Job skiwi !!  Last 5 laps Slim and imjimeez caught up with us and we had a 4 way battle for 1st.....untill I clipped a curb and rolled on lap 17....managed to get going again and others had some curb issues and ended up 5th or 6th I think.  Some great racing with some great guys.....except Parcells of course ; ).  Great fun...good job El Kochino !!

Due to issues with my GT2 Wheel (Broken Paddle) I will be using my Elite Wheel. Because of incompatibility issues with the Elite and My Turtle Beach Headset I believe I will be able to hear you but you will not be able to hear me. I'll text you through xbox but by looking at your times you may be asked to move to PRO (which is 10%HP reduction)

 

The way I set the handicap is by estimating what the fastest lap could be during the race.

During our practice runs from 10 to 10:30 we will run laps and see what everyone is doing and from there I guesstimate by using the slowest lap

 

So right now according to the [url=https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AseRZ-VFqMEkdDJxY0V0dVg5UEp... Seed Time  [/url]Sheet the slowest guy is 1:03.8

 

We all know that some of us get faster during the race so I account for that

 

So if there is no one slower then that lap time (1:03.8) you should be aiming for, with a handicap that will place you around these times 1:02~1:03 ( no faster or slower )

Cautions:
* During a Caution all chatter should be to a minimum, this will help get the cars in line for the restart
* You can call a caution if someone causes you to lose position during the race through physical interaction
* If you cause your own departure from the track, or accident or whatever, you cannot call a Caution.
* Once you call a caution, everyone will slow down to 30mph. Do not come to a complete STOP
* Racers fall inline. Restarts are single file.
* Room Host will call out a countdown, 3*2*1 GO, once all racers are grouped up (within a car length of each other) and up to caution speed (30mph).
* No passing on restarts until the end of following corner after the re-start of the caution or when the series coordinator calls “YOU CAN PASS”
* No cautions on the last 3 laps.


Racing Etiquette:
* Race Cleanly, give room
* No Cutting corners
* No Blocking, racing line is not blocking
* Call your intent
