tourney august 3rd ===Rainbow Stairwell===

I think we all have at least one deck for this .

for those who don't

6 monocolored cards of each color +colorless =36 cards

for each color you got to have a 1,2,3,4,5 and a 6 manacost card.(and for colorless also)

add 6 basic lands of each color to it and you've got a decksmiley

Usually it is played with a maximum of 4 non-basic lands so we'll go for that.

Different ones of course because its a singleton format.

So please join us sunday morning at 1100 eastern time.

coffee and sandwiches are freelaugh

O yeah , please put your deck into the vintage format in advance so you don't have to battle the new client before you can battle your clanniewink

edit ; made a mistake with the lands......it should be; 4 basic lands of each color +4 non basic land =24 lands

Are Slivers OK this time? I don't know if it was just the last tournament they weren't allowed in, or if you guys don't like Sliver decks in general. I don't have any decks remotely close to this, so I will have to come up with something brand new, which should be interesting. ;-)

In this format slivers are probably ok because it wouldn't be easy to make them work all that well. Our clan has always kinda shied away from the "easy" or expected stuff. Since we play tend to play classic, which includes all cards, we get kinda tired of seeing the easy answer to things, or worse, the "paid for" answer. Most of us don't have or play really expensive cards. And someone demonstarting a "Turn 1 Win" net deck just bored us.

That's why Penni said no slivers in Tribal, just to easy, although that's kind of a cliche from the old days now as there are many tribes that build up and overpower like that. Actually slivers might be at a disadvantage anymore.

Anyway, we like easygoing, creative stuff but still competitive.

Btw, welcome to the clan.

Thanks Niteowl, I get the idea now. I haven't played classic since 4th edition, before they even had formats, so you definitely don't need to worry about an over-powered deck from me! As far as creative but competitive, I've never been good at doing both at once, so hopefully you all can be patient with me till I get the hang of it.

QUESTION ANSWERED ON FACEBOOK

I noticed that this format is usually played multiplayer, so I wanted to make sure we were indeed playing 1-on-1 as I had assumed. One opponent at a time is all I can keep track of, so I don't play multiplayer. Thanks.

Our Sunday tourney is always 1:1 unless specifically posted differently.  Sometimes we have a small group (3) and might decide to play multiplayer just because there are not enuff clannies attending.  But we always try to come up with unusual formats, magic variants, so to speak.  Sometimes they are really crazy.  That's what makes it so much fun.
