You may have noticed that some people are playing the Torchlight II beta! We are starting with a very small group and rolling it out in waves. Your best bet for getting a beta invite is to sign up for a Runic account at https://secure.runicgames.com/signup and opt-in to receive emails from us. Only users with accounts that have opted in will be eligible. No guarantees, though!

Let us know how it is. I hate dealing with Blizzard and there often hacked Battlenet crap.
My Torchlight 2 Beta thoughts:
The level cap is level 21.
The main area is large, with subquests off the main path.
There are open vendors with potions, weapons and armor.
There is storage for each individual character & one for all your characters (like the first game, a "shared stash").
You can trade up to six items or give them to others.
Yes, you can friend people.
As far as multiplayer, up to six people and with private matches.
For dungeons, I haven't seen them go any further then maybe about 3/4 levels down.
The difficulty kicked my ass on Veteran (only one below badass) and I had help of a few people and we all died...

I only used the embermage, but I am liking the game. With the randomization of the levels each time you log out and then log back in was a nice touch.
The loot you get I think will help you from going to buy things at the shop.
I do like that you get to warp to the area of other players. You don't have to even be in the same section and can work on or anywhere in the game you want. I think it is a good game, amd I do like that the multiplayer was added.
