TMNT reboot "Ninja Turtles" the turtles will be aliens, Megan Fox to play April O'Neal...
The new TMNT movie reboot bein made by Michael Bay is looking just awful! First they changed the turtles from being mutants, to aliens...yes aliens. How are mutant turtles aliens you ask? They aren't so they are changing the name to just "Ninja Turtles". The film won't even focus on them, instead it's going to focus on Casey Jones, and April O'Neal. Guess who just made up and got cast as April.... Megan Fox. I consider her the Paris Hilton of movies, she just awful!
Bay has said recently, that marketing is responsible for the name change not him, but when he decided they weren't going to be mutants, they didn't have a choice. I'm so bummed about this! IDW Publishing just relaunched the comic and it's been amazing so far. It's mature, but that likable mature, that made the original great. The current arc is awesome, featuring the Neutrinos, but instead of kids out causing trouble, they're soldiers, who's ppl are being slaughtered and murdered by Krang. It's everything we loved as kids, but brought up to our age bracket, with some great humor slipped in at well timed placed.
Why is hollywood, and recently a lot of video game companies, just ruining great franchises lately?
I'm betting it's going to flop.

Aside from that.... ya Hatew MB! HATE HATE HATE! See what he did to transformers! Somehow they were successes though. So probably ninja turtles will be as well.
Because at one point in time, a good amount of people found Paris attractive and she got put into movies based on that when she has no acting skills. I find both ugly, and neither should ever be in any movie. I hate when they put women in movies just b/c ppl find them attractive, I much prefer they have acting skills. Just like when they add pointless nudity to a film that serves no purpose. Yeah, her tits are nice, but I have internet porn. What purpose has this just served to advance the story, or draw me into the character so I can connect to them?
This movie is either going to be A) REALLY DAMN Good or B) REALLY FUCKING terrible. My vote is going for B. I mean the TMNT were NOT aliens! How the hell does somebody think they are going to get away with chaging the mythology of something as beloved as the TMNT? I can not recall a franchise that did this and was successful at it. Just because Michael Bay was successful with the Transformers, doesn't mean it translates into success with the TMNT. I hope for the best, but am expecting the worst from this film.
Rapheal has been cast, and will be played by Alan Ritchson (Blue Mountain State, and upcoming Hunger Games). Blue Mountain State was such a dumb tv show, and doesn't give me any hope for this film.
Bay also said the script has 2 very smart writers and a great director so fans shouldn't worry. The “two very smart writers” in question are Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol), and the director is Jonathan Liebesman (Battle:Los Angeles and Wrath of the Titans) . Really? This is his amazing staff? Ghost Protocol wasn't terrible but it wasn't a smart script by far, Battle and Wrath were both blah movies as well. I get less and less excited about this movie.

Noel Fisher will be MIke, Jeremy Howard is Don, and Pete Ploszek is Leo. Also, it was mentioned a couple weeks back that Evan Daugherty was putting his touches on the script.
The IMDB full crew listing is pretty interesting though, especially if you look into the creature designers and art directors!
Principal photography begins next month in NYC, but the first shots is being filmed this week at a ski resort and golf course in Tupper Lake, NY.
I have a feeling this movie is going to be a transformers clone. Bullshit story that doesn't focus on the real draw of the series (transformers/turtles) but instead creates some sort of love story impeded/amped by some meaningless s'plosions.
the sad thing is, it'll make money like the shitty transformers did because older people who barely remember the turtles 30 and under, and people who never saw, or cared about the turtles, but use turtle references 'cause it's the hipster thing to do, will watch this soon to be piece of shit.

Megan Fox alone would be enough to not make me want to see this...This is 40 was really funny to me except for seeing toe thumbs in it. TMNT into aliens is just silly to me...
TMNT played of\f that surfer "cool dude" attitude, skateboarding, pizza, and what not. I don't think that will fly as "cool" anymore. It will seem like that satire character on the Simpsons, Poochie.
Yeah, but they don't plan on having them act like 80/90's teenagers, they'll act like today's youth most likely. The comic's creator back when the comic was dark, and Batman like is supposed to now be lending a hand to script. Whether his opinions will matter in the end since it's clear the marketing people are in charge of this movie, who knows?
What I do know, is that IDW relaunched the comic series recently and it's been really amazing so far, it's very adult and dark, yet has a moment or two of innocence that reminds you of what made the original's so great and adds a moment of levity to otherwise dark scenarios. The recent arc Krang and the Neutrinos takes a spin on the old tale, changing it for today's times. Instead of the Neutrino's being goofy punk kids pulling pranks and running from authority figures, they're soldiers in an army, much like Marines. Krang has invaded from Dimension X, and has performed genocide on almost their entire planet. After murdering million and millions of people, the Neutrino's and the turtles are trying to stop Krang from building his "Technodrome" his death star like device.
Here's a few cover images, to peek at the 1st one has 2 different covers hence the image varies. It's just been really great so far, and if they can collaborate maybe the movie won't be a horrible piece of crap....
