Why is it I can hear 200lbs soldiers around me and cant hear a 200 ton titan? I was run over a few times last night by a titan which came up from behind me.
I experience the lack of sounds from time to time. Especially the ones from behind.
Almost positive I hear the Titans steps.
Halo 4 has a similar problem.
I use Astro A50's and I don't think I've had this problem. I usually get crushed trying to jump on the damn things though.
More importantly though to read into your statement is that your are getting caught from behind by a big thing that crushes you!
