tips and tricks *spoilers*

Castlemonster brought this up in OMM, but it is such a huge helper that I thought I would share here too.

The damn cerberus guardians with their little shields they carry become much easier when you nail them with a pull and it takes away their shield.

now can someone tell me how to beat the stupid Banshee so that she stops eating my brain? I would rather deal with three brutes than one banshee.

oh, and I had to go look this up myself because it had been a while and I found it helpful. http://blog.bioware.com/2010/01/06/enemy-defenses-in-mass-effect-2/

You beat the Banshee with....wait for it......ROCKET! Yes, thats the ticket. One rocket will kill any of the bosses on MP bronze.

I shoot through the little mail slot on the Gaurdian's shield. Cerberus should have put a periscope on the thing...

Banshees do indeed suck.

Concussive Shot by the soldier class knocks the shield the guardians are carrying back, exposing them for a couple seconds to fire upon.  A few well placed headshots usually does the trick.

Yup, anything with a high force value knocks that shield aside. Shockwave, Concussion Shot, Biotic Charge are the three that I think of. A soldier though can simply just chuck a grenade at a Gaurdian's feet (behind or to the side of the Gaurdian but not into him) and kill him out right.

In regards to the Banshee. After getting that final Warp perk for my Adept, the one that boosts damage to Barriers and Armor, the Banshee was not so tough; couple that with a Sniper equiped Infiltrator... Having a single Heavy Weapon player in the group is awesome.

You think Banshees are tough in MP? Just wait until you fight them in the SP endgame.

Yes sir, Banshees are tough when you are low level, have no equipment, poor quality/no mods, level 1 weapons and a poor class choice playing on a mid or hard diffuculty level.

Not so tough when you have gears and something other than a Vangaurd.

If you're a sentinel in the campaign, you can max out your tech armor, use it once in combat so it's on and then reassign your points. You'll get to keep your tech armor on forever and now you've got 21 points you can put into something else.

Heavy Warp or Reave works wonders on anything with Barriers and  Armor.  Warp is able to curve around things, but reave gives you damage protection while in use.

http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/03/07/mass-effect-3-the-easiest-way-to-scan This helps quite a bit. Basically after the reapers come to an area you're scanning, you can back out and go back in, and whatever direction your ship is facing is the side you'll enter on so you can keep going in and out without getting caught.
