Just grabbed one. Originally had the Titanfall bundle ordered but got really bored and just picked one up last night. My first impression is that the OS is clutered. Coming from the PS4 it just seems that they could've done a better job. Love the controller and the rumble triggers on Forza are sweet. It takes forever to download a game... minimum 15 minutes for me. Seems like it takes a while for the system to boot up. I thought for a minute something was wrong with mine. Still hate Kinect and I see no reason why I need to have it with my system. I ended up disconnecting my U-Verse box from the X1 because I hate the idea of having to have my system on and using power just so I can watch tv. I can't say I'm 100% happy with my purchase but only time will tell if I made the right decision.

You should check out Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. It's awesome, and exclusive to X1.
it only takes you 15 minutes to download a game, and you think that's bad?
Also, cluttered? Have you seen the 360 interface? If anything, the X1 interface is too simple. Not much on it. It's two pages, plus pins.
Shadow that's 15 min just to be able to start... Not a full download. I just hate tiled look. Not bashing it so don't go all nuts over it, these are just my first impressions comparing it to the other next gen console. I'm not saying I hate it I just don't think that what I'm getting is worth the price tag. I do love KI tho.

15 min to start? That's awesome. Usually it takes like 25% downloaded to start, and if you consider regular decent internet is about 10GB/hour, that's great. Since most games are 20-30GB.

You can increase that to 5min if you use Upload Studio. I don't know how, just dropping names like I have a brain.

Say "snap game dvr." Once the dvr menu pops up choose "end clip." Options will be provided, incrementally, for up to five minutes...you can then trim the excess footage in Upload Studio.

True. I will say the system is growing on me and my PS4 has a been sending me death threats. Now next Friday the tides will shift with Second Son. All in all the X1 seems like a solid system and I like it.

I turned on the one and spent about 20 minutes downloading and installing the latest update. I then tried in turn to play the 3 games I own, Battlefield 4, KI and FIFA 14. Each one required an update. I gave up and went to bed.

Can it not be set to update while you're asleep, IE the day before you turn it on to play?

@Oldschool I never tried to upload from the 360, but it is very easy to record, trim, and edit using the XB1 apps.
If you have your xbox set for instant on (voice commands turn it on) it'll DL updates when it's "off"
