I presume this is an accepting audience for such a thing, but it'll be interesting to see how this all ends up, a few years down the road.
My dad told me this was on TV, and after we talked about he, he said "Man, you were born at the wrong time, weren't you?" I think everyone that likes video games in our age brackets in this website, might have some kind of envy/regret over the timing of their birth.
I didn't watch it yet but it seems like a few too many kids are putting real life on hold while they fail to make a living off gaming.

Well, that's one way to address the topic.
Clearly Rau doesn't like Al Jazeera. He's entitled to his opinion.
I can't find much fault with it, IF it's accurate. If it's not, that's a whole nother topic.
I think the issue most people have with considering gaming a "sport" is that it takes very little physical prowess to be good at a game. When you hear the term "sports", I would think most people would associate this term with some sort of competitive physical activity. Keeping that in mind then gaming is not a sport. However, throw in an "e" which lends to the term "e-sports", and now you have something.
Gaming requires a different skill set and the whole image of some "nerd" sitting at a computer 14 hours a day certainly doesn't help matters when trying to convice people gaming is a sport. If you've never picked up a controller or clicked a mouse to play a game, then you really can't comprehend the skill of these "pro" gamers.
Overall, though, it doesn't matter, especially to the top players making bank.
Those gaming houses need chair upgrades.
