HBO Go vs. Comcast/ Time Warner

Has anyone found a good reason that Comcast and Time Warner are blocking HBO Go access on the 360?

Are they simply embarased that On Demand service has nowhere near the back catalog that HBO Go has?

Because Time Warner is a terrible company and offer terrible service(s).  Can't speak on behalf of Comcast though.

Time Warner has treated me great over the years. Anytime there was a problem, they took care of it imediatly. From high speed internet to TV, there is nothing locally that can compete.

The Comcast forums are full of people asking this and Comcast is just giving the standard non-sensical corporate answers ... hmmmmm

Doesn't make any sense to me.  I've got Brighthouse (Time Warner) and I can access HBO Go, Max Go & ESPN3 on my cell phone and through any computer I want, but not on my 360.  Kind of retarded.

Probably because they want you to use their xfinity app on Xbox.

Which has maybe 10% of the HBO content that HBO GO does

I don't have HBO but I've been waiting for ESPN 3 on Xbox via Time Warner for a year and a half.

Welcome Xbox Live Sports Fans:

  • We are currently working to grant ESPN3.com on Xbox Live access for Time Warner Cable & Bright House Networks customers.
  • Please check back regularly for updates.

At one point there was an option to add an activation code when booting the ESPN 3 app, but there was no code to be found on the TWC site, so I'm still waiting...

Time Warner Cable blows.
