If anything its a great single player game.  I just didn't feel like paying the sub price for what I was getting.  Pretty much no interaction with others if you weren't playing PVP.  Every once in a while I got in a good pug for some of the harder missions.

That may have been due to low server populations, at least that was the case for me.  Since the server merges it hasn't been a problem finding groups to do planet heroics.  It can be a pain putting together a pug for operations since you're usually looking for a tank.  Same for flashpoints if you're dps class.  It can take sometimes up to 30 minutes depending on when you play.  If you're a healer or tank though, you usually instant queue.

I had been looking forward to playing this again when it became F2P but I just now saw how many basic features they stripped from the game for free players.  I know F2P games are like this but I've never seen one go to these extremes.  They are seriously charging you for everything, even essential stuff like quickslots... fuck that.  You'd be better off paying the subscription than for the individual features that would make the game tolerable and enjoyable.

Ugh, good to know.  I was thinking about trying it out.  Maybe I'll wait.  I don't really have much spare time as it is anyways.

if you want to just play the story line (which is HOURS of great content imo) you should be fine with what they give you.  If you really need extra quick slot bars it's uber cheap not to mention i think people are selling them for in game credits on the market.  If you want to do more than that than yeah it's going to cost you.
