SweetFX and Guild Wars 2

Has anyone seen this post over at /r/GuildWars2?  He's using a DirectX injector to off load the Anti Aliasing from the processer back to the video card.  While I'm not having issues with the game, I'd figured I'd give it a go.  Game looks different, that's for sure.  Much more detailed but darker as well.

I'm not so sure about the FPS improvement.  It seems the same and sometimes has a little hiccup.  I'm going to give it a shot and see how it goes.  I figured I'd post it up here for others to try.

Nice find.  Probably wont help you that much based on what I know you have.

EDIT:  I might give this a shot on my work laptop.  Have to travel this week and playing gw2 sounds like a good idea.

The graphics look a lot different.  I'm not sure why.  Also, it think it helps some as most of GW2 is run from the CPU and not the GPU.  NVidia says they can't tweak it much because of that.  So putting AA back to the GPU must help.  I also did the CPU parking change.  I'm now locked at 60 FPS (VSync is enalbed ).  So far so good.  I'll probably be in WvW tonight and that will be the true test.

yeah i loaded it on my laptop.  Did not due the cpu parking as that causes heast issues and is supposedly a no-no for laptops.  everything is set to min settings.  mainly because of the crappy vid card.  trying off load as much to the cpu as i can.  Corei5.  Got 25fps right now while doing an event with about 6-7 players and about the same on MOBs.  need to get around 30fps if i can.  it should be a bit smoother.

I will say sweetfx is helping.  Noticble color enahncements and better detailing than without.  and this is with everyhting on low and aa off.  Defintely playable.  Just wantt o get a little more to make it comeptely smooth.  i know i will probably loose this in WvWvW but it should still be playable.

What is really effecting me is not having the naga.   DAMN YOU $70 mouse and your million button goodness. Might have to load up the xpadder.

I have my naga all cable managed and zip tied down. Way to lazy to rip all that out.  I pakced my wired xbxo controler and ran xpadder.  I am running a not so diffrent setup that what that guys is running the post you linked.  I tweeked a few things to be able to swap attunements fast and drop AOE with my ele.

Started a Guardian too and that was cake to use with my controller.

I can't seem to get this working since the new update.  I'm a little confused about how directX works.  It looks like SweetFX is calling Directx 9.  Shouldn't I be running DirectX 11?

Wintersday and Lions Arch is killing my FPS.  Sure it's looks amazing but I'm dropping to 30 fps at points.  I really wish they would offload the CPU hits so that NVidia could optomize their drivers for this game.

GW2 uses DX9c.  to support older machines.  I think there was rumor of them suporting DX11 but have not seen or heard anything on that in a while.  Make sure you have the latest update for DX9.  You can get it from MS site.

Never noticed the fp drop on on LA but will have to take a peek.  I have been getting pushed to overflow alot on LA recently.

SweetFX is still working for you?   Mine stopped working after an game update.   It's a shame it's not DX11 and more GPU dependent.  The game requires way too much CPU.

My LA issues have only started with the Winterday decorations.  Around the Trading Post area.  It's not terrible but it is a huge drop.

I don't use on my main rig just the laptop. Haven't played on that since before the update so I have no idea.
