Sunday Tourney - May 27th

I looked through the postings for the last few Sunday tourneys and didn't see any Tribal related tourneys.  So for this coming Sunday let's do  Tribal...with a catch.  You can't use any of the uber powerful tribes, such as elves, goblins, faeries, vamps, merfolk, etc.  I won't list every single tribe that fits this description, and I know opinions may vary, but you all get the idea.  This should be a tourney where you use some tribes you don't typically get to play.

See you all next week.

Oh, fun!  Once upon a time I started making an alphabetical list of tribal decks.  I forget how far I got, but it was interesting. I will have to look them up and see what I can do with them.  Hmmmmmmm.

Who'd a thunk HoH would win? Do you even try or do you just throw a random pile of cards together? laugh Welcome back.

I also nominate Allies to your list.

I will be out of town this Sunday. I'm leaving for Hilton Head Island on Friday with the family for a short vacation. I'll try to be on some this week to play, and think I have a couple of non-traditional tribal decks if anyone wants to playtest theirs.

Yesterday was a fun tourny. Glad to see the big turnout!

I would say slivers are probably one of those tribes to powerful for this…

@ Nite - Haha, thanks man. Feels good to be back playing some MTGO with you all smiley

@ Shough - No problem...just take it easy on me Sunday haha

I agree that allies and slivers should not be used.  Too much potential for abuse with those tribes.  Earlier someone had asked about knights, but I don't see that post now.  I don't know too much about knights, but I think that they would be fine. I don't want to put too many restrictions on people.

I think we all know which tribes are nasty and which ones could just be fun.  It will be fun just seeing what peeps come up with.

I have golem, scarecrow, and illusion decks.

My current favorite is my golem one, but it's just because it is the lastest one I made.

My illusion deck should be better now that I have Lord of the Unreal, thanks to Jello's suggestion.

I don't know if I will be there Sunday or not.  We were rained out for Busch Gardens, so we may do it this week.  If so, we leave the house around 10:00 to get an early start.  I do have a deck.  Even a few decks.  So, we shall see.

We had a pretty good turn out today of 5 clannies.  There were definitely some interesting decks: Minions, Berserkers, Assassins, Cats, and Knights.  A lot of creativity and a lot of fun.  I'm glad quite a few people were able to play today.  In the end, my assassins ended up edging out Shough's knights in the championship.  I'll try to post the format for next Sunday's tourney here in the next day or two.
