Review: Inazuma Eleven 3DS

Not being much of a sports person except that time when FIFA was hot on the N64. I haven't truly enjoyed sports games. Checking the deals on my 3DS I scrolled across a game from Level 5. Of course they are one of my favorite developers right now. The track record of it being a good game is very high as I think they produced only 1-2 bad games so far in my book.

So Inazuma Eleven was on sale for 9.99 and normal has a price of 19.99. What captured my attention was that this game had RPG elements which I enjoy. After buying it and playing so far a total of over three hours into it. I am glad it can give me that small does of game play with my busy schedule. You can save any where in the game and it does have parts it ask's if you want to save.

Character building and story telling are done in cut scenes. Sometimes you will have to read dialog, but mostly in a cut scene. Each is done well to a point it draws me in more each time.

This is a game where you using the stylus is a must. You use the stylus to move (run/walk), play mini games, menu and for full games. This game has made me use it more than any other game for my 3DS that I have played.

Mini games and matches go pretty quickly. Sometimes they seem to go to quick on you. I have lost track of time so much it ain't funny. Of course there is a penalty for each mini game or match you lose, but varies depending on your level and in game currency you have.

The RPG elements are not bad. Of course it is like any game in where you level up your favorite characters. You have four people to your main party, but everyone gets a little bit of XP even if you don't use them for any mini games.

Overall, I think if your an RPG fan or like sports this may be a side game to pick up on sale. It does have MP so you can trade people or even play matches with others. So if you have the points and see it on sale it is worth the purchase IMO.

4/5 would be my score in my book just cause the timing in the matches/ mini games sometimes feel rushed.

I love RPGs and I love soccer. I tried to play the first Inazuma game on DS and managed about an hour before giving up.
