Ya it was really fun, crazy part is it was the guys first mod and admitted the graphics could be better and that there will more than likely be an update for that. He even created the music for the video....I am about 98% sure he's one of the beta testers. Iam gonna talk to the simbin guys and see if any of them would be interested in running a series with us? I know a majority of them are Racedepartment members and they have nightly club and league races but worth a shot or if any of you are interested in joining some of there races with me....u just need to register and apply for a race license which is pretty simple and run every game except rf1 they apparently retired it :)
It's available at nogripracing if you want it now or wait and ill put a bunch in a google doc shortly. If you have a few mods loaded use the mod manager it's really good scans and recognizes all previous mods and u just switch on/off so u have no conflicts...I wish I found it 6 months ago would have saved alot of headaches
Quite tempted by this as it looks like there's a good community with a lot of races. I also used to love the feel of the cars in GTR and I'm guessing this is similar as it's Simbin.
Is it worth going for the Race On bundle on Steam (includes STCC expansion pack and Race On)?
Not sure what content u currently have all of it is either on sale or a few $$ but well worth it in my opinion :)
if you have none of it the simbin mega bundle is a killer deal $35 for every game simbin has made over the past 10 yrs...personally too many games that would go to waste but good to have gtl if you run the historix mod on rf1 possibly coming to rf2 as well ? Gtr2 is needed for the power & glory mod which is really good
if you just want r07 content I believe the race injection package offers the most bang for the buck and gives you about 80% of the expansion packs and is $12 on steam
as for mods needing certain expansion packs not much uses the race on pack except muscle car mods
most touring car mods need r07/stcc/stcc2 without stcc you won't be able to use mods with the vauxhal vectra or audi a4
gtr Evo is need for pretty much all gtr classes and higher performance car mods ....Dtm, v8's ewtcc like I said everything is only a few $$ on steam right now
Both look, sound and handle great out of the box alot easier to handle than past versions
the nz super tourer still has that annoying lines on the windscreen but handling is alot grippier than the aussie supercar great car to learn in before advancing to the supercar.
Knight i know you hate them, but these MIGHT change your outlook of them :)
I tested the wtcc 2012 update today it had some physics , graphics and sound tweaks done in the latest update looked and sounded good...physics were also good seemed a bit trickier to handle than the first release. I think they updated the ffb as well cause I was experiencing some things I don't remember before....it gives you a nice little thud when shifting gears and a good sense of wheel grip when under steering in fwd....they said there gonna do a whole new over haul the to the physic in the 2013 series soon.
also the since the release of the retro super tourer mod there's been a huge amount of people coming forward wanting to collaborate and help out as well do expansion packs! I've heard remodelling so they look nicer, a mid 90's btcc mod, Dtm and stcc retrospect are all in the works
as a guy who has tested a lot of mods the past few months have released some of the best ones yet and should keep me occupied for a while....I've also been chatting with the fvr modders seeing if they will do an update to the nz supertourer windscreen and either dull the lines or allow for a clear windscreen .
ive also noticed that the servers have picked up of late.....seems mostly during euro peak times. I was on around noon today and estimated close to 300 people in rooms which is a hell of alot more than in past months....could just be wed nites is a popular nite for leagues?
In rfactor changing the windshield could all be done through editing the skin, could you send me the files for the skin you usually use and ill try changing it?

Having major issues with Race 07 skinning.
You need to group all skins into a .ini file for them to work with specific mip map settings (Way over my head)
No Idea what language your speaking :) np mate I've found some cool skin packs I pick from
