New to the Group

Hi everybody.  I'm Mike.  I'm new here, granted,  I have met a few of you 2o2p members before.  I finally decided to apply and join since I've been fairly withdrawn from any and all gaming communities for the past year  or so and needed to reach out to find new people to hang out, talk with, and most importantly game.

To tell  a bit more about myself aside from gaming in itself, I've done podcasting (The Boss Battle Podcast), helped run and conduct LANs/tournaments for local groups, worked  on a bit of book writing and music, and just generally slaved away in retail selling electronics and video games.

I generally am quiet  and reserved for the most part  until I 'warm up' to the group, so don't find it odd if I seem a bit quiet  at  first.  I love to listen to others' stories so I generally make a great companion to just have  tag along in your  party if for  no other reason than to let you talk, vent, or simply be heard.

Gaming wise,  I do enjoy western RPGs, shooters, and MOBAs both on PC and the Xbox.  As far as simple board games, I tend to be good at games  of chance (I just have some natural luck) as well as trivia-based games.  Music, my tastes  vary greatly to at least consist a little bit of  everything.   Novels I generally prefer fantasy and sci-fi, in which my current favorite series is a Song of Fire and Ice.
