Newie here, is there a racing school or tutor available?
Hi,
I'm new to this and when I race online my best lap times are usually about 15 seconds behind the winners. I'm just trying to learn and I race as cleanly as I can. I drive with a wheel and manual/clutch and no assists other than driving line, and on tracks I know decently I just use the brake line view. I watched a Topgear episode where Jackie Stewart road along with Jeremy and gave him pointers as they went in order to teach him to drive faster. It seems like a good technique that could work in Forza, with either a good driver driving behind and calling out what to do, or driving ahead announcing what he is doing, ie., hitting the brakes now, etc.. Is there anything like this out there or is anyone willing to help me a bit?
I've read a lot about how to race, and tune, but I need something more hands on at this point, or even just driving with some similarly challenged racers and we could get fast together.
Thanks, John
Welcome bro. I've already sent you a voice mail on xbl. Let me know where you're located & I'll make sure you get a club invite from the regional divison that best suits your locale.
As for racing school, I'm one of the instructors in residence here. I'm available most afternoons through the week after 3pm cst or anytime on the weekends. Just shoot me a text or call me at 615-969-7675 if you want to have a session & you don't see me online already.
Welcome to the site fella!
If you need any help please just ask.
Hey guys I had a question about this....
If you are in spectator mode how "live" is it? Meaning if I'm watching a guy in his "game camera" is that what he is doing that instant?
I think it is prebuilt. If not, it's damn close. I'm guessing your thinking about having someone watch you while you drive and talking to you while you do it? If thats the case, I personally would think having someone in race with you is probably better because if you mess a corner up, then you could turn around and have the person actually show you the line to take rather than trying to explain it. But I kinda see why you were asking that.
