My new CSP's shipping today!

Anyone hanging around the GBR forums would know I have pawned the wife and cats to get a set of Fanatec CSP pedals...well actually Mrs Knight has got them as an anniversary present.

My standard CSR pedals have done sterling service but are starting to give up the ghost, the brake is jumping around and the clutch is even worse suddenly coming on and causing clutch slip at random moments, really annoying when defending out a corner and suddenly your engine is screaming and your rival slides by.

Well they are shipping today, not bad I ordered them late Friday night and 9:30 this morning the email arrived to say they were on their way to the carrier. Should be in Ireland by Wednesday, and in darkest Cavan by Friday.

Can't wait to get them into the rig, it's the one piece of Fanatec hardware that seems to be universally accepted as best in class, no matter what wheel you choose.

That is not down to pedals but Turn Tens servers and congestion on my network at that time...though random pedal signals don't help. It's just so hard to summon up the desire to turn on the Xbox these days, takes upwards of ten to 12 restarts just to get the thing to recognize the wheel is attached not a joypad, then the hassle of getting into a lobby, then flying and submarining cars...Not conducive to happy racing dude.

Yeah man, I have been useing them for a couple of days now and got into the swing of the load cell brake, very nice. Big surprise was the increased resolution of the throttle when connected to the PC rather than via the wheel, couple that with the longer throw on the pedal, and modulating the throttle through turns is a whole new experience.

It is a shame about Forza, but what can you do? It became more and more frustrating, to the point my wife would make herself scarce on Forza nights as I cursed and stomped around resetting Xbox, wheel, and router over and over, only to end up unable to get into a lobby or if I could, rage quiting over one lag hit too many.

With the CSP's now connected to the PC I woud also need to mess around reconnecting them to the wheel to run Forza. It's the people I miss, not the hassle.

Currently Playing:

Glad to see you are loving the CSPs Knight.  I have been using the CSPs via USB directly to the PC for a while, and I had forgotten how great it is to have the extra resolution.  It really makes a difference with throttle control.

I also hear you about Forza.  I just cannot bring myself to play it anymore.  The extra Xboxes for triple screen Forza are gonna be traded in to GameStop this weekend so I can get my kids a Wii U.  Just don't need them anymore.
