THE CARS
The 2009 Ferrari California
The 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S
Well matched, the California is an edgy, demanding beast, requiring careful throttle control and gear management. More suited to anyone comfortable with a tail happy ride and some race experience.
The Maserati is more refined and forgiving, but can still be provoked into biting if prodded too hard. Strongly recommended if you are a Rookie, Amateur or a Pro who thinks RWD is the creation of Satan.
TUNES ON MY STOREFRONT (search POIDSLY all upper case) or happy to gift if you are on my FL.

RULES
1. Respectful racing please. If you screw up apologise and move on. Viable overtaking opportunities only. Give each other room in the corners. Folks will make mistakes in these cars when under pressure. Communicate your intentions if lapping cars or if you have clear superiority on a straight.
2. No tuning allowed. Not even the final drive Parcells!
3. Racing numbers must be displayed. Any format.
4. Your car pick is not reversible, so I recommend you drive them before deciding. No complaints that the Ferrari is a nasty SoB after the fact ;)
5. Liveries/Paints - Please chuck something on your car, race orientated or fantasy, whatever. Storefront or hand crafted.
6. Room placement - should there be more sign ups than a single room, I want to ensure a good mix so everyone will get some racing, so I reserve the right to tinker with room placement.
7. Race incidents - if you think you have been deliberately/unfairly shunted or disadvantaged, have a think about it, review the replay, wait 24 hours, have another think about it, and if you still feel aggrieved, pm me. Any decisions made by our panel of experts, will be final.

I'm all over this one. That Masarati is a fun car.
Just made a little video of me having fun on Maple in the Maserati. Genuine smile on my face - it sounds fantastic. Ahhhh but the Ferrari - just so sideways. Seriously controllable with the throttle. So excited.
I see JDRT are all over this one. I wonder what the team car will be ;)
JDRT press release
from May 21st, 2013
JDRT joins “Italian V8 GT Face Off”
Today JDRT officially announced participation in Poisdly’s La Quattro Stagioni V8 symphony “Italian V8 GT Face Off”. The discussions are on, which car the drivers want to race. JDANKERT: “We will announce our car decision later in the day. Important is for us, that we will make experiences in this series. For our #1 driver ChurchPro it will be a fight for the victory. For me it will be a fight to stay on the track (laugh!). We want to use this short series for learning.”
8 signed up so far.
Gizzies in. Nordschleife in these? I tried it in the Ferrari. Not easy.
More will come. I think they are just testing.
Can we have the Build list though Poids?
You can, but since the tune is not to be toyed with I'll have to post all the settings!
But happy to do so.
So now Im confused. Are these stock or are we having to use someone else's tune?
Ya I didn't notice the no tuning thing.
That's gonna be a deal breaker I think.
I was thinking the same thing as I dont do well with stock or unadjustable tunes.
Edit - Sorry, but Im going to have to pass on this one. Both cars are way too loose for my driving style and I'm affraid I would cause issues on the track for anyone around me with the lack of control I have with these.
OP rules - point 2. Sorry if you missed that.
They have been selected/setup to behave in a certain way. The Ferrari for example is deliberately more tricky to drive. The Maserati is much easier.
I want all comers, including those who don't tune, to have the same cars to work with.
That way it is just you on the track.
Would be sorry if that was a deal breaker.
Those of you considering dropping out because you cannot alter the tune, please give it a second thought.
The cars are PURPOSELY tuned very loose and most people will have a tough time controlling these cars and that's the point!
PLUS you will learn better throttle control which is crucial to becoming faster. Give it a day or so its still in the interests of fun.
@Poids - unless you do allow tuning changes no reason to publish it?
Plus one on no need to publish.
Also these cars are awesome.
This will be some nice silverware for jDRT.
This looks like an awesome series, i can vouch for the cars both being great fun to drive, unfortunately I can't make the first two races as I'm on holiday and there's no room for my Xbox in my luggage. If there are any spaces free when the final two races are on I would love to join if possible?
I'm sure there will be Si.
Not great quality. Wish I had a capture device. The sound still makes me smile and look, its bloody good fun to drive.

"Pudsys"
Don't be scared boys. If you're gentle with them they will love you long time.
Seriously folks. Download the Maserati. Take it for a spin. It's great fun.
Now imagine doing that with a load of other people beside you.
These things are pure gold.
GrimGrnninGhost Motorsports hit the track this morning for some initial testing of the Maserati with fellow team driver "Snoop". It was a gorgeous morning in the alps and the cars looked fantastic.
If anyone else is interested in joining GGGM, please include an ice cold beer with your application ;)
Those Maseratis look fantastic.
Glad you can join this.
Hello,
JDRT is happy to see, that GGGM had choosen the right decision. We - Church, Mapo and I - also "ride" the Maserati.
See you,
JDANKERT
Love the paint!

Welcome mate. Need any help, give me a shout.
Get your snow boots on gents. Really looking forward to this. Room will open Sunday 9:45pm gmt. If you are not yet on my FL and want to be in this, even if not signed up yet, send POIDSLY (all upper case) an FR.
I will place a Maserati and Ferrari in the Euro Club Garage for any last minute guys. US guys need to provide their own with the correct tune (on my SF) unless someone wants to post some in their respective garages.
Details of pitstops and laps to follow.
BTW - pit entrance is tricky. There will be at least one, possibly two. TBC.
