I never knew this game could be so addicting!
I never played it on PC and was on vacation when it came out on xbla. After speaking to dixon and seveal others and watching a shit ton of you tube vids I decided to purchase it. Man am I glad I did! It's taken me a bit longer than others to get up to speed but now I think things are starting to click and that's making it really fun. When I finish one session I am looking forward to the next wondering what I will find on that expedition. Totally worth every penny I paid for it!
Yeah, its funny because there doesn't seem to be a "type" to this game. People that like RTS like and dislike it, people that like FPS like and dislike it, RPG players like and dislike it. If anything, the ADD and obsessive-compulsive crowd might like it more than the average, but it really does seem to blur all those lines between casual and hardcore gamers, too.
OCD fer sher. I dug a trench 13 blocks deep & 2 blocks wide all the way around my house (29x47) plus dug out a basement 4 blocks high with glass walls & doors into the trench. All in stone, no gravel, dirt, or cobblestone. Monsters don't die when the fall into it though, so now I'll probably go deeper & add water.
I have made some pretty rediculous stuff on my map, a pagoda as my home and I recreated the bio-dome, viva los bio dome! CUST0M 45 is my gamer tag send me an invite and i'll get ya in.
All my buddies were on Battlefield 3 last night but I said I'd just pop into Minecraft for 10 minutes to work on my railway.
Three hours later I turned off minecraft and went to bed :(
So, my kids taked me into getting the game and I can't stop playing! It's making my OCD worse... I even straighten out stairs and stuff on my kids maps.
Are there any cool sites to look at contraptions and houses and other things people build? I'm google-lazy today.
Youtube. A lot of the youtube stuff is PC though so there are quite a few things the xbox version doesn't have though.
This game eats your soul.
Luckily I already traded my soul for a bag of skittles.
I would of held out for reese's pieces
