Guitar Apprentice For PC

Just learned of this game after seeing a post on Zakk Wyle's FB page about him shooting some video for the game. Might be an interesting alternative/addition to rocksmith ..Guitar Apprentice Website

It appears there's no interaction between you and the "game".  Not sure if that helps or not.  But I will probably get one and check it out.

This works very similar to the method I use to learn songs with Guitar Pro 5 and using a backing track with drums and bass. Minus the part that shows what fingers to use when playing a chord. But I think I am past needing that much of a tutorial. I searched the website for a while and couldn't find a song list or anything like that. I probably just missed it, but it would be nice to know what is available and how often they add new songs. That is probably my biggest complaint with Rocksmith or any video type of learning tool, is that you are limited by what songs have had the work put into them and then have to pay to learn it. If you want to learn say "Cowboy Song" by Thin Lizzy, you are completely on your own.

If anyone wants to check out the backing track website I use feel free. There are a shitton of tracks on there and it is completely free. It's like playing along with an mp3 except the guitar parts are gone. Some even have selectable instruments on them that can be turned on and off.
