Yeah, had most of the same issues as everyone here and so I will pass also unless something magical happens, like they fix the fucking game. I'll keep an eye on the forums to see if it has been fixed after launch.

I like this game.  It isn't Ghost Recon.  It's more like Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell.  The game is good, the beta is bad.  This is definitely a rought beta.  But then also remember it is one gametype  with two maps with one set of presets.

Remember in GRAW you could turn on and off drones, there was a ton of options.  I hope they provide many different gametypes.

The UAV out of range, that is a bad message.  What it should save is UAV leaving play area.  If you try to move the UAV outside the map confines you get that error, even if you are a foot from the map.  They need to put a timer on it to when it will be destroyed if not returned to the game area instead of keeping it from moving.

There is a counter for the uav and location sensors, shoot them!  They aren't unlimited.  As an engineer you only get two sensors and one uav.

I hope they allow you to take more than 4 people into a game.  I understand why they might do that though, to keep the 4 people on a squad.  Yes, the beta isn't doing that. It is trying to keep people and teams even, but it is also doing a good job of keeping friends together.  We had a party of 6 people and it kept us on the same most of the time.

The down side to being an engineer is your weapons are weak.  That SMG does not stand a chance against a rifle, even in close up.  I put an entire clip into someone and he was facing away from me.  He turns around and does two burst shots and takes me out.  The engineer class is very week.

The game is a little on the old fashioned side because it has spawn areas.  With Halo, Killzone, and CoD we have become acustom to spawn areas moving around.

There are balance issues.  They need to work on the spawn system.  They are trying to keep you from spawn lock BUT it doesn't quite work.  But that's what a beta is for.  Too many people are expecting a finished game like other "betas" of late.  this game is definitely a beta, not a finished product.  i hope they learn from the beta and hte finished product is solid.  I am really liking this game.  I don't like that it isn't really ghost recon but i do like the game.  I am hoping that because it has the ghost recon name on it that there will be many game types.

i agree with you on this, the core gameplay is solid but it has issues like nade spamming the spawn system sucks and various other things, individually these issues arent that big but together they're making the game a pain to play. but i'm still enjoying the game because of its core mechanics.

This is what bothers me, and is exactly what they're banking on. Doesn't matter what's wrong, people want to believe the best so they'll buy it anyway. I understand it's a beta, but there's certain shit that should have been caught before it even got to this point. Spawning 3 objectives in a row in one teams base, spawning you out in the open when your teammate is in cover, spawning you on top of a frag, the over powered frags, being able to just run around and knife, it's all stupid crap and should have been looked at. The maps are not designed for what they're trying to do. They'd be fine for TDM, but for the objectives they're garbage. One team always gets a major advantage, the combined with the random objective placement it gives one team the win before the match even starts. It's all well and good to hope that issues from beta won't make it in the full game, but that's a lot of money for hope.

Let's be honest, most of what's wrong WILL be in the finished product and will probably take a while to fix. That's just what happens with any game. At least this time we can see what's wrong ahead of time and decide if that's worth it to us. Personally this feels too much like every other military shooter. They've gone too far from what Ghost Recon used to be. The cover system is nice and hacking people is even more fun than taking dog tags, but there's just too much that needs to be fixed first.

And no, they've already said the 3 types are all we're going to get. Conquest, sabotage and seige. We can hope that in private games you'll be able to turn off intel and have all the customization that there used to be since that's what the old GR games had, but they're doing their best to make this nothing like the old GR games. The co-op should be fun though, but I doubt the MP will ever be anywhere near balanced. A few of us have been playing and experimenting. When both teams play it slow and "tactical", the score stays fairly close and the game is usually won or lost based on the last objective. When we rush in COD style with all riflemen we dominate the other team. Keep em trapped in spawn, never let em get near an objective and usually win by 2-300 points. I've always liked GR because it WASN'T like that, now that seems to be the best strategy.

Well, CoD is like that also.  Once team can have a huge advantage in certain gametypes because they spawned closer to the objective.  I don't think GR would be that bad if they got rid of the team spawn areas and did a random spawn or spawn on teammate like CoD and BF.

Sabotuer was fun last night.  Lots of close matches.  I could not believe I got behind hte enemies in Pipeline.  Three were up on the balcony and i come up behind them.  Unloaded my shotgun on them.  That was the game changer.

GRFS lets you spawn on a teammate, they just don't do it very well. If your squadmate is in cover, it'll spawn you out in the open so you can get shot. It says if your teammate is in combat and won't let you spawn, but that only means if they're firing their gun. If the enemy is 2 inches behind your teammate they have no problem spawning you in so you can die with them.

Sabatuer, I have been having fun with this playing with Jarhead, Handy, phalanx, other DV/old PPC members.  Now that they allowed 6 people in a party we have been dominating, but we need all roles to dominate.  That is what I am liking.  In order to do good you need every role.  We were running 1 scout, 2-3 engineers, 2-3 rifflemen.

They do have to balance out XP though.  I don't remember who was running around hacking people last night but he was consitantly getting 15k XP per game because he said when we kill someone that has been identified because of his hacking he gets 600XP.  It is definitely easier to rank up the engineer class, I am usually in the top three for XP.

I am surprised at how many people do not shoot down the drones.  Seriously, you like the word detected across the top of your screen all the time?  On pipeline I know a couple of buildings I park my drone ontop of and face it towards wheren our group is.  We can see anyone heading our way and they won't see the drone unless they go into the open and face backwards.  So yeah, I do make it difficult to get rid of it, but still, you should at least try to figure out where it is at and take it out.

I heard they are only going to do 6v6.  I am concerned about this.  I also heard Mill is one of the bigger maps.  If that is true 6v6 is fine.  8v8 on pipeline would be crazy.  If ithey have any bigger maps though I could see 6v6 being a little small.

They confirmed that they're only going to do 6v6. It was originally going to be 8v8 but they lowered it for tactical reasons. Apparently 4 more people just ruined everything. They've also said in interviews they put the biggest and smallest maps in the beta, so Mill is as big as it's going to get.

That is kind of disappointing.  This shouldn't be called Ghost Recon then.  I guess more and more games want to go witht he smaller maps to keep the action high.

Well sure, on a bigger map you wouldn't be able to throw frags around as easily as you do here.

As part of our dedication to the community and showing you how your feedback is directly helping the development teams, here are the first feedback concerns that we’re addressing:

360 ONLY - Grenades are over-powered: we are reducing the grenade blast kill-radius according to your feedback and the analysis of your matches.

  • 360 ONLY - Confusion was caused by the 4-man party and 6-man team matchmaking: we are increasing the maximum party size to 6 in order to align with the team size.
  • 360 & PS3 - We are universally increasing the speed of XP acquisition in order to gain additional feedback on the weapons and equipment unlocked later in the character progression system.
  • 360 & PS3 - Last but not least, in thanks for the feedback you have provided, we are releasing theSaboteur game type early, today.

In Saboteur use stealth and cunning to capture the explosive briefcase and detonate it on the opposing team's objective. Saboteur really emphasizes the teamwork aspect of Ghost Recon Future Soldier, and we hope that you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.

Currently Grenades and Party changes will only be active on Xbox 360we are working to bring these changes to the PS3 Beta as well. Changes will be active across the platforms listed and require a reboot of the servers (currently scheduled for 6:00pm EDT). We will revise this thread with additional updates as we publish them.

I tired this out last night on the 360.  I thought it was cool.  I never played Splinter Cell, but it felt like a bf3 in third party to me.

The customization to the weapons is cool.  The game felt fun to play.  I ll have to play it more tonight.  Need some teammates though.  felt like I was getting teamed up with some horrible randoms.  It is game you need some coordinating players with.

I love and hate the saboteur gametype. On Mill it's a blast, but it's garbage on Pipeline. That map is just too small for any sort of objective game, but maybe the one life mode they have would work on it.

Yeah, a life limit would be an aweomse option.  I remember putting a 3 respawn limit in GRAW most of the time.

I played a little last night until the servers went donw on me for a bit.  I really like this game.  The maps are tough though.

I agree conflict is a tough game type if you are on the wrong side.  If you are not US team on pipeline you get trapped to easily back in your spawn.

I have only really played as a rifleman but I love the weapon customization.

I was seeing some funky lag last night also.  I guess with it being a "closed" beta ther best connection could be england for me sometimes.

I'm curious to know if there's anyone out there that's digging this game despite not liking the third-person perspective of games past (like GOW). I've always like the idea behind GR, just never the mechanics/execution...was hoping this one might be different.

Last night there was definitely server issues.

I keep seeing improvements every night.  Like last night I see they really tried to keep the party together even if it meant uneven teams.  It's nice to see an actual beta for once, not a demo that they call a beta so people will forgive them if it isn't quite right.

The only thing that can be fixed by running a Beta 3 weeks beforfe the game ships is server controlled tweaks.  The game is 'done' one month prior to release for manufacturing and distribution.

I expect we'll see most of the problems in the beta continue on thru release.  This is more of a demo with it being so close to launch.  How many game betas have we participated in that have even been months  prior to game launch and most of the bugs found in the beta still exist in the launch product?  I'm not even sure why we're beta testing it doesn't seem to matter.

Well, they are constantly tweaking hte beta.  It seems like every day I play something has changed.  It seems like they can change much on the server side, little need for client patches.

i guess this games a pass for me as well, a big reason why i was intrested in it is because i missed getting together with everyone if no one here is intrested in the game then ill just divide the $ i put into the pre-order into assassins creed3 and southpark: the game.

I am going to get it.  I haven't had this much fun in an FPS in some time.  I like how you HAVE to play as a team.  A team that is all scouts is just not going to work and so forth.  I also like that it rewords team work.  I like that is can punish Rambos - you are more likely to be hacked because someone can't back you up.

Also when you know where torture77 goes prone to launch his UAV you can have fun at his expense if you get put on the other team :)

My only beef with the game is the some of the higher level unlocks are big game changers.  It is sort of unfair for a group that is still at low levels.  Unfortunately that is how FPS games are these days.  You get a lot of reward for ranking up, but if you are new to the game you are crapped on.

So, sad news for those of us hoping for clan night with this. There is NO customization of any kind in private games. No option to turn off the intel or regeneration or limit lives or anything. http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/667241-london-media-day-q-amp-a-by-...

Personally, I love it.  I has a little more of a Rainbow 6 Vegas feel to me, with the cover mechanic of Gears in place.  I played Guerilla mode the other night and loved it.
