WTF; my character is lost forever after saving ?????
I haven't had the luxury of playing the game as much as most people; due to the fact I'm in Med School and busy as hell. But hey it's my Canadian Thanksgiving and I figure I have some time to actually get my Warlock to Level 20, so I'm about 19 and a half and saved my game and logged off last night.
Well guess what happened???? the fucking game will not boot up my character at all; keeps saying cannot connect to the server, but yet I can go and create a brand new character with absolutely no problems whatsoever, am I the only one that has experienced this problem???
I'm about ready to take the game back to EB Games and cash it in for credit; I certainly don't have the f@#$ing patience starting all over again; plus the online component to the game is garbage, I played crucible match on Saturday at Level 15 and taking on people Levels 25 or higher, and not only held my own, was the top scorer and helped my team win the match, and what did I get, that's right absolutely jack shit.
I think the game blows in general. I don't think I've played since launch week.

Garf, I think the servers were spotty due to maintenance yesterday. Give it another go.
A buddy of mine played around with my system and was able to get things running again; and yes this occurred after PSN was back up and running from maintenance.
But on a personal note, I'm just curious as how many people will be playing Destiny once FPS's such as the new COD, HALO The Master Chief Collection, and Far Cry 4 (just to name a few) eventually release, my younger brother beat the story line of the game and looked at me and said "Is that it???, pretty short for the campaign"
Story is hot garbage. Strikes and raids are the meat and a lot of fun.
I personally really like the story missions, but I will agree that the Strikes are the bread and butter of the game. And honestly, once you hit 20 the real game begins....up until that point is pretty meh.

I don't know what happened but it's just not presented in any sort of cohesive manner. The whole 'I don't even have time to tell you why I don't have time' gets under my skin. Hopefully it's more of it's a 'new ip' sort of deal vs 'we have no idea where this is going' thing.
That said, I have over 6 days in game and I'm still playing so my $60 was well spent. I guess that's what really matters most to me.
Exactly. While I definitely have my complaints, the general gameplay is extremely fun so I don't have real buyer's remorse. Plus they seem intent on fixing things as they come up fairly quickly so I have hope that they will address all the things that I personally have issues with as long as I'm not the only one who has said issue.
Is it the greatest game ever? No. But to call it the worst is not right at all. I have almost 5 days of total play time in the game. I love the game and got more then my money's worth out of it. I think a lot of people's problem is they were expecting a new version of Halo which it is not and that's why they are hating on it so much.
