Vita

I'm looking to get one soon,  just heard about the new model.   Should I wait a little bit?  Any rumors and/or forecasts for the holiday season in regards to specials??

Really thinking hard about picking one of these up. If it really gives you remote play with your PS4 I could see using it at lunch while at work etc.

What do people who own these think?

I picked up that walking dead bundle one a while back. I'm pretty happy with it, but the game selection does kinda suck. I just bought a year of PS+ since it was $10 off with the Vita purchase and I play the games that game with that.

My only problem is the Vita is substantially bigger than my old PSP. It's not really pocket friendly, especially with the analog sticks sticking out half an inch like they do. The games on it look really good though and play great. It's a little akward to get used to holding at first but after about an hour I was playing Uncharted with no problems. The touch screen is useful though it just LOVES finger grease. I've never had this problem with my phone or ipad, but I have to keep wiping this thing off or I get that rainbow looking smear.

I bought a month of the 3g just to try it out and everything works out pretty well. I'm posting this on my Vita right now. Had no problem watching hulu plus or youtube. The camera is pretty crap. I think they said it's only VGA or something, but it worked well enough for a Skype call.

I don't know if I like it for mobile gaming. The size of the thing makes it hard to carry around along with my phone and wallet and everything else and the battery only gives you about 6 hours beore it needs a charge. But I bring it in for work and it's perfect for sitting at my desk and having something to do. Beware the memory cards though. It comes with 4gb which is plenty if you buy the game cards, but if you have PS+ then it's not nearly enough to download games on, and the 16gb one I bought was $40. The new Vita will be using standard micro SD cards, but you lose the OLED screen and revert to normal LCD.

I'm more than satisified with my Vita.

I've picked up a few games for it, most of which are through the PS+ deals.

There are some great games for it, Uncharted being a clear and present winner for the platform.
My Vita is with me at all times, close at hand. I've only got a WiFi option with mine since Canada didn't get the 3G model for quite a while after launch, but it still holds up well when I need to get my Pinball, Ninja Gaiden, Uncharted fix, or any other fix...

There have been a number of great little games launched for this one, and with the advent of the PS4 and the direct integrations I can't see this one being a bad pick-up for you at all, Blimey.

I may end up picking myself up a new model, although I really love my OLED display... so, I don't know yet.

The only complaints I have about the thing right now...
1. I get hand cramps if I play longer than 30 minutes without a break... (shouldn't do it anyway, but really... c'mon now...)

2. proprietary memory expansion... ridiculously expensive, and so easily filled up with PS+ offers.

Think you'll get it Blimey? I will but not until I see how interactive it will be with the PS4.

That's the kicker for me too. If every PS4 game and I mean every, can be played on the Vita then I'll have no problem throwing the money down on one.

Any game that requires the camera will not carry over to remote play for obvious reasons.

Except those, which besides "Playroom" we haven't seen much of.

Thinking about it pretty seriously. Kinda like you guys.I wish I knew for sure how well it will work. Since its only a few weeks I will wait. BB has the walking dead bundle for 199.00 which seems like a deal to me.

I think it would be nice to take to work etc.

It is nice to take to work and grab a quick game break. If you have Plus+ go ahead and grab the vita freebies for later.

My biggest complaint is the long use hand cramp. I really need to grab some grips.
