I am loving the new Dragon Age!

The other day I got my $50 Sony reward and I used it to pick up Dragon Age. It ended up costing me $10. Over all I am very inpressed with the game. As of right now its the best looking game that I have seen on PS4 todate. Ign said it took them 85hrs to complete the main story and that they were 100 hours in and they still had lots to explore.

Currently Playing:

I have a double vision on Inquisition.

I love that there's so much to do. I love the graphics on the PS4 version. Blows me away. Voice-acting is rather good, animation somewhat more believable than the prior games. Battles are good, though being underpowered isn't fun much. Even using crafted gear isn't helping much and it doesn't make my protagonist stand out.

I hate that races are purely cosmetic. For how your protagonist behaves, he could be whatever as his heritage is just sideways acknowledged and has no bearing on anything else.

The big world is kinda pointless, regions aren't tied together and finishing one area just means doing it allover again fresh in another, much smaller region than the Hinterlands. Fabled Val-Royeaux is a frigging marketplace!!! WTF!! The seat of Orlais power, home of the Empress... nothing more than a gathering of merchants around a fountain. *sigh*

The companion banter has lost it's soul. It feels like they're bickering for the sake of bickering. And it isn't even witty, though Sera made me laugh a few times sofar. I swapped Solas out as quick as I could make it.

No possibility to set the mage up as a healer.

Why is my party killed by a bear in 10 seconds, why do they kill a boss as if the dude doesn't exist?

The Story is interesting though, and I want to see how Skyhold plays out. There's enough to look forward to. But I don't really agree with the glowing reviews. Yes, it's a landslide better than DAII. No, it isn't game of the year in my book. Just a solid game that plays it as safe as possible.

I have not been playing it much, I bought the digital download so I will be keeping it as long as I own my PS4. I plan on picking it up again soon.
