I have some nice Klipsch earbuds that are fine with my phone. The mic works great. However when I try to use them with the ps4 the chat is not good. My voice isn't clear. The one that comes with the ps4 works fine, but I'm wondering why the earbuds don't work to well.
The apple iPhone earbuds do not work well either. The sound is acceptable I guess, bass is nonexistent. The mic works, however, it makes a screeching feedback sound to the person to whom you are communicating with. It's really bad, to the point of being unusable for chat. I'm going to try my SteelSeries PC headset which sound amazing on my computer on the PS4 sometime today. I'm curious to see how well the DS4 can produce sound via the 3.55mm jack.
I did read that the Vita headphones are fully supported.
Yeah. I have some trittons, but it's a bunch of wires and crap I have to connect. I just want something simple.

Well last night I played using Apple iphone earbuds with all the audio and chat going into that. Dang, for a cheapo headphone solution it worked really well, not as good as real headphones but quite acceptable. Not sure about the mic though, I didn't talk to anyone (antisocial, LOL). Wouldn't mind being able to turn the volume up a bit more though even though it is at full right now.
Is there a way to adjust the volume for the headphones somewhere in the settings? I haven't looked yet.
Hold down the PS button and there's an option to adjust the accessory settings (or something along those lines).
