Behind the power curve

Hey guys, I know I'm always a little late to the party but I finally cracked open my Assassin's Creed 3.  I was skeptical about it since it did not seem to resonate with a lot of people.  But after a couple of hours I fond the gameplay to be great!  The combat is awesome and gives me that "Last of the Mohicans" vibe.  I will say Connor, the protaganist, is not as exciting as Ezio or Edward.  I have Black Flag on my 360 and it is tight too.  I have not gone into it much since I want to finish them in order.  The series has had some missteps but if you are into lore and the time periods they have covered it can be very compelling.

Currently Playing:

If you can get through those excruciatingly slow intro secgments, the rest of the game is pretty enjoyable.

The hunting is great and the naval battles are a lot of fun.  Can't wait to do more of that in AC4.

Yea...the beginning sucks a lot.  I guess since the game is so big in scope and activities that they have to consider the new player who would be lost of they didn't catch you up.  What's worse is even though they hold your hand for 10 hours of gameplay they still don't show you everything.  But if you played the series you just end up waiting for the stupid thing to end.
