It would be even better if it came with the Limited Edition version of the game as well.

According to Frankie on NeoGAF, it will only be the Standard Edition.

That looks weak. I could buy a sticker skin for my 360 and it would come out looking the same.

I'm not defending the Halo 4 LE unit in any way, but this 360 LE is transparent grey and stickers/skins will not give the same effect.

IE. Not likely to look the same with stickers/skins.

I’ll defend it, as I worked on the design.

Show me how to make a sticker/wrap turn your current console into transparent plastic then have the light pipe ring of light, light up the console in specific areas. LOL

Anyway, this has been one of my favorite consoles of the special editions so for.  R2D2 was cool but I’m a bigger Halo fan than Star Wars so thats just me.

Thank you!

To give you guys more background, now that I can talk about it.  I do not work for Microsoft, I work for an Industrial design/engineering firm. MS is one of our clients.  On a project like this we did not influence or really have say in this design. Rather they give us a concept and we make it happen with the best look and function possible.  Though this is just another version of the current console, some very detailed mechanical design work went into this Halo 4 front face plate to give 343i what they wanted in its looks.

Do you have some better pics for us to look at? I mean the pics from Major Nelson are ok, but imo do not show much of the blue light stuff they are talking about. Does it do more then just light up blue around the power switch? Are you allowed to tell us or show us other things it does?

I only have access to prototype parts that have been around our studio which didnt have all the detail you see in the finished product.  I am told that some parts of the front panel light up from teh ring of light.  I only saw a prototyoe which was conpletely clear for testing.

I love how TANK "knows" when the next console is coming out...

Sutke in the Comic Con Conferance Deep_nnn posted minute 37 you can get a better look. Doesn't look anything like the pics major Nelson showed. Tritton is also putting out 7.1 headphones Halo 4 themed. Very tempting.

Now that I've seen some better pics, I have to admit the translucent case and controllers are pretty slick. I'm thinking it wil look sweet in person.

I might have to get one of those new controllers. cool

It's cool looking but we'll have a new console coming in like 16 months... not sure it's worth it at this point to buy a limited edition console.
