Stonehenge Promo Video

I prepared a promotional video for Stonehenge for the Certain Affinity Forge contest.

The video had to be capped off the TV so please forgive the quality. The sountrack on the other hand, is one of the most wonderful pieces of music I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. It was composed and created by our 2old2play member Spying Scissors. If you don't like what you see, close your eyes and just listen. :)

Thanks to everyone who helped me in any way.

A map variant is never truly done so potential changes are both planned and unplanned.

looks great DEEP!

i don't know if the video quality matters at all. if you think it does, I'm sure we can find someone with an HD cap device to help.

or do you submitt via file share?

Thanks.smiley

Old n Achy already offered to cap a film. Unfortunately the dynamic lighting glitch can only be over come by the person flying the remote camera. Had I give him a game clip, there was no guarantee the lighting would work. Every sample I tried failed to work properly. Very frustrating.

The actual quality of the film is not a defining factor for the constest. Most people just cap of their TV like I did.

Thanks.

I've probably spent weeks constructing and just looking at it. The time spent watching games of people playing on it far outweighs the build time by now.

There are a couple of enhancements I'd liked to do but frame rate issues are a worry and if you add one thing it leads to adding more, just for balance.

It's not even a competitive or casual thing, it's just a "bad idea" thing.

It's the laughs that make it work beyond it's intended purpose. Seeing the enemy get blow out of there, like from a cannon, makes people laugh everytime. Even bad ideas are hard to let go of if they're causing fun. :)

Nice1 Is it possible to take a film, go over to flying camera, and then create a clip? If that is possible then we could possibly cap the result in HD.

Thanks.

If I understand you correctly, yes. Currently I can go into a full film and record a game clip while flying around with the camera. During playback it would be just as recorded unless the first person view were changed. In that case the view will not revert back to the original camera fly by resulting in a quit and restart. Unfortunately for now, the dynamic lighting issues ruin the results. The only workaround for lighting issues, that I know of, is to record a clip with a Spartan viewpoint equalling the entire length of the film. I don't want a Spartan viewpoint for this project though.

Hopefully I'll have time after the TU to make a new flyby.

Nice Deep, I did enjoy the 1 game I did play.

Oh fussion cores are really an anti camping/boltshot device for a very specific area.  At least that was how I used them.

The music was great.....major pros to Mr Scissors.

The TU is live and the dynamic lighting issues in Theatre appear to be fixed. :)
