Riot shield question
I know you can place it on ground but can you shoot through the slot in shield? I've put it down and unable to shoot through, it's covered by bullet proof glass. Is it only to put down as cover?
Using RS as alternate w/pistols to try something new as opposed to Run n Gunn w/Smgs
That's what I thought at first too, but that little slot is just to look through while crouched. But you can stand up behind it and it's at the right height so just your head shows, so that's what I've been using it for.
Yea thats what most folks use it for, run with a riot shield and sniper rifle you can crouch, take aim a bit lower than where you intend to shoot and then hold breath, stand, shoot, duck rinse and repeat... so long as they dont shoot the every living crap out of the shield or bomb it you should be fine
You wanna run flack jacket with the shield. People are going to throw frags at you.
When I see a riot shield I usually shoot them with my smaw
I like to announce Riot Shield douche bag when I see them, but I find it a useful class sometimes.
Idk how these people get RS kills, i've got like 5 in 20 games.
I worked on the RS this weekend to get it gold. It works well on objectives as you can imagine. It helped a lot on games like Demo where the objective was indoors. The shield guy, me in this case, was able to block the door while my teammates planted.
The only thing that really annoyed me was I was getting stabbed a lot over the shield. So you crouch, and start heading towards the enemy and they run up to you and stab you.
RS kills, I'm told work best in Hardcore. One hit kills much easier than 2 hits needed on Core.
I found that HC was harder to get the kills with. When someone is running an smg and side steps and hip fires you are done. Only one bullet needs to hit you.
With connections always a little less than desired, i though it didnt work well.
I agree with Cerb. Play regular Dom, Hardpoint, etc and equip fast hands with 2 concussion grenades. Freeze, side step, bash, repeat.
