Reminder - Halo 4 Multiplayer needs 8GB
Reminder - Halo 4 Multiplayer needs 8GB
If the first thing you want to do is play Halo 4 multiplayer then you better get your 360 ready in time.
You will need 8GB of free space. Think more than that if you start saving films, pictures and Forged maps.
This is not news and has been known for quite some time. People tend to forget or put things like this off until the last moment.
*Online multiplayer and Spartan Ops requires Xbox LIVE Gold membership (sold separately).
Minimum 8GB USB Flash Drive or Xbox 360 Hard Drive required for Halo Infinity Multiplayer.
For an optimal experience, play with Xbox 360 Hard Drive.
(For Xbox 360 4 GB, Arcade and Core consoles, Xbox 360 Hard Drive sold separately).
See storage.halo4.com for specifications.
System requirements forthcoming.
I'll have plenty of room once I wipe the ~9 gigs of Reach stuffs from the HDD.
ouch

True story. I might kill off the rest of the Halo data on my hard drive as well, and the betas.
might as well kill all installs - you could always install again. Just keep game saves and some important maps/gametype files.
Not an issue here.
Good reminder. Some buddies will need to plan ahead.
So the game is on two discs, right? So is the multiplayer portion installed to the hard drive and then the disc not needed? Or, why is there an 8 gigabyte requirement for multiplayer?
I am guessing the option to run all parts of the game from HDD also exist but that hasn't been mentioned yet.
Disk 2 is probably where all of the multiplayer maps will be, and you'll need to put all of those maps on your hard drive. I guess it makes sense to have all of the original Halo 4 maps and the DLC maps in the same place. Then you're not reading the game disk anymore to load maps for each game. Less wear and tear that way.
Sounds like a mandatory install the game to HDD thingy.
Not a problem. My 360 runs much quiter if installed to the HDD! :)
I'm dedicating all 45 gig to Halo 4.
