Ran a public hopper last night in this...

And when I quit back to single player, you know, the spin 'round homespace where the current car selected resides, it was the same car, as it should have been, but solid white.
So I went into the paint editor to put my paint back on, and the car was actually covered in white LOCKED vinyls...
So I backed out to the spin shot and it was white with what looked like a mint green faded something across it, someone elses paint(?).
Went back into the editor and it was white again...base paint is actually orange BTW.
Has anyone else seen this before?
At this point I just shut it off, hope it's gone when I boot up today...

Nothing like that, but...
Week a go when we had EUSL Mini vs Camaro practice going on something happened to my Tamiya paint. I did select my car (with Tamiya paint on it) and went off to race, but the paint was changed to pure white with black flames on it...This happened several times until I picked a whole different car and went back to pick my Mini again...
oookay...and everyone's stuff returned to normal? reboot, what?
A couple days ago I was in the ABC public hopper and all cars on the grid had their custom paint stripped. After a few races my xbox hard froze (no dashboard, no response at all). Rebooted it and everything went back to normal.
Yeah, I was coming out of the ABC hopper myself, and all this happened in my paint booth afterwards.
I have seen people pop onto the grids without their paints, and that is way more common apparently.
I wonder if there's something whacky about the ABC hopper that loads other people's paint onto your car.
I had paint disappear on a car once too. I was done playing anyway, so I turned off the xbox. Next time I turned it on, the paint was back.
okay, so I went back at it and it was still there. Deleted from car, loaded again, it did it again. Bought a new car, loaded it and IT did it too.
sold both damn cars, and painted a new one from scratch, all seems better...so far...damn Pinto's...
deleted the old paint too BTW, so if you have one and it's not glitching, you have a rare paint indeed...
Last night we were playing in a room set up to be multi-class, and when I exited for the night my paint was gone. I still think there's a lingering issue caused by multi-class lobbies.

The paint I had problems with I had to destroy, so, be warned, there are issues...
I have downloaded a couple of paints for the single car series because I coudn't be bothered to paint the hated things...neither of them would go on the car, I would try to apply them and the Box would just sit there with the revolving yoke and do nothing. Had no trouble with mine or club paints yet.
Knight, if you have multiscreen enabled, even with a single screen, it can cause that to happen. Just set it to off, reboot and they may load NP, of course, you then have to reset and reboot afterwards, a pain for sure.
I have to really plan ahead when painting anymore.

II have seen the paint glitch in many forms
1) have a nicely painted Corvair that shows up in the garage carousel with the entire rectangle viewing area covered in red and white alternating veritcal pixel lines with a few rectangular areas that show more grayish due to reduced red lines - and environment scene above the carousel, a little different large rectangular area covers most of the scenescape. YET when I take the car out of the garage it is fine
2) I hve kurupt's Monster Fiesta Zetec paint and this car has quite a few lobby interpretations. some are solid colors and some are different for each lobby racer but my favorite was when it showed a HONDA paint for me and confused the hell out of me. I'm not saying it's a kurupted file though.
3) i have many cars that show single color instead of the elaborate paint schemes in lobbies and not the ABC Hopper. Now that it has been drawn to my attention I will note if this happens in multi-class lobbies only. I don't think so though.
I think we've all seen the car show up online in bare paint, no livery/etc. That's been around a while. The Pinto would appear in garage pure white, in the club fine, in the photo environ with random paints, usually a large faded vinyl over white, one was mint green, and twice when I took the thing into the paint editor, it was covered in locked pure white vinyls. Another time it was white, and yet all the correct vinyls showed in the "filmstrip" below where you select them on the car. Once, I clicked on one to moce it, and it showed correct co ordinates of the vinyl on the car, but when I actually tried to move it, it went to 99999.99 v 99999.99 and you couldn't move it.
But as I've said, I burned the damn thing, crushed it and had it droppped off a pier. It's on my S/F BUT I don't know if that thing will act up on others cars. And I don't think I can get a paint off my own damn S/F to put on my car...hmm, I do have a 2nd acct....
Another experiment is called for...

Loads of threads about Paint glitches. Come across an interesting comment that suggests if you paint before you tune that can cause problems. Make any sense to you?

I do think it's tied in to that "memoory leak" they blamed on the paints earlier, and seems to be something that's happening since the patch...beyond that, I don't have a clue.
So far, the only car I've had the problems out of, other than simply not loading the paint in a public lobby, is that damn Pinto! I will say, so far, the new Pinto is behaving...great Camino Viejo car too...
Had the same problem as well as loosing all of my credits.
Resolved by rebooting and has been all good since.
I am a big fan of the pinto, especially in B class at the Suzuka circuit, looking forward to throwing the Pacer around there next week!

I know! I think the Pacer as a twisty car has huge potential, try the Pinto on Camino Viejo!
