Our Club it's future and imminent changes.

After taking to the club leaders we have voted to implement a few changes by the end of the today. We hope these changes will get our club back on the track we all want.

1. The Forza 5 sub-forum is to be removed. All Forza 5 posts will be moved to the main Forza area. The activity in the Forza 5 area and main forums is extremely low. Merging the two should help fix this.

2. Can we ask everyone to stop beating on Forza 5 please (me especially) Even though the game hasn't got a club like ours in mind anymore we just need to work with what we have. Events are in the planning stage and will be announced soon.

3. The spare sub-forum will be kept but locked. We are open to ideas on what it could be used for. PC Racing maybe? (Yes I went there)

4. The sign in sheet will be finalised tonight I will then make a list of everyone so active and what there Xbox live and Playstation tags are.

5. New events for Forza 4, 5 and GT6 are in the planning process and will be announced soon.

6. I will be cleaning up all forms in our group.

7. Once the final active members list has been completed I will PM each member asking for an email address for a bi-weekly news letter.

Hopefully these changes and any changes in the future should help or club grow in to what we want.

If there is anything you think the club needs please post below. Without any input we are always doing this blind and sometimes that adding easy.

Church,I like the sound of all the suggestions above.

One other thought is whether we can merge all in game FM4 clubs? Or do we still have more active members to all fit into the one? If we have too many then maybe we could re-sort somehow, based on times/days when people are online?

Was thinking about the club's. I will have a better idea once I compile all the players who have signed up this time. But nothing will change fora while with the club's. Going to get this side of things sorted first.

All Forza 5 topics have now been moved to the main Forza area.

Would the PC Racing forum be for serious stuff like rFactor/iRacing etc, or would it include stuff like GRID, DiRT, Next Car Game (eventually) and that sort of thing?

Maybe but I think if we concentrate on Forza 4, 5 and GT6 for now get us back on track then go for it. Unless a lot of people would like to see it sooner.

CPro...NO DISRESPECT but stating PLEASE quit beating on Forza 5 is probably one of the dumbest statements I have heard in a LONNNNNNNNNG time. We are Adults here and some of us like me are Grand Pop age to a lot of you. If the Shoe Fits Wear It FORZA....This Club will Morph into the Main Stream. If it is not Forza it will be something else. We don't need to be stifled stating the truth and treated like a bunch of immature Timmies! Even Though we are cable of acting like it at times!!!....Personal Opinion of Course!!!coolcoolcool

I think what Church is trying to say is we want to encourage new folks to join the fun we all enjoy and if all they see is bitching and moaning about the direction T10 has taken when they first come in, it could be discouraging.  Thats not to say that we should all jump up and down and praise FM5 (or GT6) when they both have their faults but I think we have beating a dead horse here for awhile.  There is still a good fight to be had at FM.net about the social aspect but complaining about it here is not really accomplishing anything other than to vent.  There are those among us that really enjoy FM5 and if our community is going to continue to grow, we need to accept it for what it is and move on.  All of this is MHO and we all enjoy free speech so take this as you will.  I mean no disrespect at all.

CPro & 3G's...Don't Buy It...Adults can have a Adult Conversation...GOOD or BAD!!!...I Don't Think any Adults here need a Muzzle!!!...If it wasn't for Bitching, Moaning and Venting do you really think things would of changed with Forza and GT6 when it comes to credits..Here you want to discourage bitching, moaning and venting!!!....I just can't believe what you are saying...Damn!!!cool

P.S. If the Powers to be want to be smart....Let 2-3 weeks go by and everyone will have their say and be satisified like me...If the Club wants to be Trending....Then be fluid and  move in the direction of the pulse of the Club!....Personal Opinion of Course!!cool

I think the point was that if you moan and bitch here, well it's just venting!! No one who really matters is going to see it!!

Constructive critisisim should be done in a manner where the intended recipient can either see it, or hears it from someone else who has seen it... I could moan about Church or Grim all day long to my wife, but nothings ever gonna change unless my wife tells one of them... if you catch my drift!

I believe we should add a trade and sell section only regrading gaming equipment. Wheels/controllers /games . This way we can help  our members with equipment that we need or looking for and even stuff that we want to sell before  we sell it to the public.

I think Church and Grim have a point.  I have done more than my fair share of griping about the situation with Forza 5, in particular the lack of compatibility with Fanatec wheels.  But, its time to move on and accept reality.  Fanatec wheels will not work with Forza 5, at least natively, and Forza 5 is a complete reboot for the franchise.  Yes, Turn 10 has listened to some gripes regarding the economy, but continually slamming the game here, aka "venting", is doing nothing more than push away new folks, particularly those that like Forza 5.

In the grand scheme of things, do we really have so much to complain about?  There has never been a better time to be a sim racer.  We have a new GT, a new Forza and tons of options on the PC.  Lets enjoy what we have, even though its not perfect.

Umm, 2Old2Play has a PC gaming forum Church. Do you want to merge with them, possibly here, or just go there for PC gaming, anything else is duplication.

As for bashing, no one at T-10 reads our forum, I kinda like it that way, so vent there or do something else constructive like figure out how to make the new game function in a way we can use.

Constant whining here where no one can do a thing about it is like preaching pacifism at a hockey game.

'Ol School....You Missd the Boat...Here's a Update...I already said that I did all the moaning and groaning I wanted to do!...But the issue is what if somebody just joined and wanted to vent. Am I the one to say muzzle it?....No I am not...I said let people vent and sooner or later they will move on to something else like a lot of us did. Bitching is Healty...Don't believe me believe question Grand Turismo and Forza...They had a ground swell of complaints (AKA BITCHING) and decided to do something about it. If nobody bitched and moaned nothing would get done. It is just Human DNA unless you are meek and mild and accept what anyone tells you to do. The REAL problem isn't Bitching or Contstant Bitching because Forza Deserves it and Grand Turismo Deserves it because they just got GREEDY! I show my discontent by not buying Forza 5 and not buying Xbox One. Also I didn't buy PS4. I will show my discontent by the way of my wallet. It truly is a simple conversation. I just don't like the idea of a muzzle. That's All for Me....I said Enough Already!!!!!cool

Yeah, I get all that, I just don't think any of it done here affects the developers. Needs done where it will be seen, at their forums and/or at the register, totally agree.

If people can't vent, things explode.

I do agree that negative comments can have an affect on new people popping in as well. Especially if they aren't familiar with the personalities that have been around a bit.

So, I guess I'm ageeing with everyone, and that's not getting anything accomplished. 80

I can understand stepping in to moderate an argument or to ask members to keep it civil between ourselves, but I've never been particularly concerned about hurting a game's feelings. So when I feel compelled to express my disappointment or disapproval with Forza 5, or any other driving game, then this dedicated forum for Forza games would naturally be the place to express that opinion. Like it, don't like it...who gives a fuck? This is the place where we discuss all things Forza...and Forza 5 has not left a favorable impression on me. It is, in fact, my least favorite Forza game, and that includes Horizon. The inability to gift/share tunes and liveries is frustrating, the missing club feature is disappointing, and the multiplayer mess pisses me smooth the fuck off. If we're asking people to omit unfavorable comments about a particular game, then I would ask that members refrain from describing that same game favorably...apparently balance is important.

You are a writer and a member of the media and so you can take it.  This is laughable and so is your "you are not the boss of me" attitude.  You say you hate Forza 5?  You have played it 4 days, not 4 hours.  You have completed 31% of the entire game.  You have already gotten 420 out of 1000 achievements.  I think you wrote in a post the other day that you are Level 140?  You don't hate Forza 5, you hate, hence your attitude.

Church is not censoring anyone, he is trying to return 2Old4Forza to the happy, fun place it used to be before Forza 5 was released and guys went hogwild because Turn 10 had the balls to start over again.  Yeah, they screwed up, but they still wrote a kick ass game that you cannot stop playing.

Thank you for the quality belly laugh.  I needed it.

Thanks for doing your research, Lawyer. I also did my research, without research my review would have lacked credibility. I never said I hated Forza 5, I did say that it did not leave a favorable impression on me, and used the words frustrating and disappointing. You are not qualified to put words in my mouth, so don't. Church has already censored me more than once, so that argument is also moot. Perhaps you should try reading a post before commenting on it...that should have been the focus of your research. I do not hate Forza 5, despite your belly laughing, conclusion-jumping fanboy post, but I do hope to be provided a better game at some point in time. Thanks for sharing!

Coming back to the original point of church's thread if we may, I think that the current Forza thread should remain a console based forum. This would seem to avoid the obvious overlap with 2old2race. I also think that if these 2 groups combined the resulting forum would be extremely unwieldy to say the least. Imagine trying to find information on a race series if there were a dozen different titles and or formats?  From a selfish point of view I would not mind the FM5 section becoming separate as it is not a console/game that I will be buying anytime soon, so not having to trawl through a rake of FM5 threads before finding the fm4 stuff I'm interested in would be a bonus! However the inclusion of PS3/GT6 is a good idea, as at least it is interesting to see what is happening and indeed possible with a rival game/console and may even tempt some die hard Forza fans to try out said games. For those of us with budgetary constraints, this is a cheaper option than next gen consoles and arguably unfinished games.......However I can live with all console racing games coming under one roof for the sake of simplicity.

Perhaps the moderators will enlighten me on why they think these changes are necessary? Are we experiencing a considerable fall off in active membership? If so, why is this? Certainly cannot say i have noticed this much in the race series I participate in, however I can see that we dont have that many new faces since I joined (surely this is not a connected point?!?) Is this a concern for the leaders of our forum? As things are I am not sure what "getting the forum heading back in the direction we want" actually means, hence my question.

Also while I quite like the idea of a newsletter (Gazetta Forza?) doing this properly will require the input of a fair number of people, I dont think it would be fair to assume church will produce this single handedly, and also what will this contain that isnt already on the forum threads? However if this does come to pass I would be happy to assist in whatever way my antique pc is capable of!  While i may not have the journalistic qualities of Sarcasmo, I can write a bit...

Am sure someone will bring me up to speed on what I seem to have missed but now back to lapping the track....slowly...
