For the record, not me either.

You sure the post made it all the way through in it's entirety before being posted? I mean with the actual changes you did after the quoting part?! It doesn't say it's edited?!?! Maybe it doesn't do that every time, I'm not sure, just asking T.

Seems like it may have been dixon.... Sad because I produced 2 fine examples of JIP: one positive, one negative.

Who knows. I'm on my phone right now, so I can't really see what was quoted very well (comparing my text with quoted). I know that it appeared properly when I posted it, bc I followed the links to make sure they would work. Really weird if it's not showing up in the mod cp history :( Will try to find those games later and post the links.

It must have been something 343 did wrong.

Derp derp. It'd be much more beneficial to try to provide more info as to one thing they did correctly. Dixon, figured out what happened (which I really didn't think was possible with this forum software. I hit reply, and it multiquoted. Will fix it later. The one where it appears I said nothing was the snarky comment/line right before the ":p"

You posted something else that seems to be what you're talking about in the other thread.  Are you sure you didn't conflate those two threads?

Also, I blame Frankie.

Too few maps at launch made Halo 4 get old fast. DLC didn't do much to help. Too little, too late. I think 343 is learning, and hopefully Halo 5 will be better. Campaign was good, but not the best. Low population makes MM almost unbearable now.

I was thinking of when H2 dropped and that game had quite a few big changes. Bungie took out the CE pistol(which has never returned, bastards), introduced dual weapons, lock-on rockets and a Battle Rifle that before the update sucked ass. You could almost say that no Halo is real Halo except for Halo CE.

Thanks for taking the time to read our story.  It's funny to think that it started off as Halo fans creating a Halo show and we dissagree with certain aspects of our favorite game.  I see the same thing going on in this thread.  It's a crazy time for Halo fans.  Some want the same game while others want change.  Either way people will complain and leave.

I don't think that's entirely accurate, though.  Maybe it is completely unrealistic to expect to be number one, all the time, with the most played title on Live.  That ship has sailed.  The time to have that as the goal left when Reach was released. Those that are playing Call Of Duty aren't going to be swayed to Halo because the game's mechanics and rewards are so damned different.  I say we do need to get back to that core Halo experience in the first three titles and simply embrace what the game is.  Lanierb's post back up there was 100% right.

Honestly, been playing alot of BO2 lately and it's been fun.  I'm a little surprised I don't have more friends playing.

The maps are actually very good.  There isn't one that I don't like.  (Price for map packs blow though.  Really, $50 for a season pass?!?!!)  Each has shooting lanes, good places to take cover.  While I don't dislike the h4 maps, they don't feel nearly as polished as the BO2 maps.

Also, I get what H4 was trying to do with xp, but it was a very poor implementation compared to COD.   It's hard to describe, but the system is just lacking.  Maybe it just doesn't fit.

it doesn't fit because XP advancement in CoD is unfair and shitty.  In Halo it doesn't give you much of an advantage, just more choice and more armor pieces for your "look."

It's counter-intuitive to have the people who have played longer and learned the game better to also have better weapons and perks to murder the lower players even more.  Than you've got Prestige, which just tosses you back in with the noobs but with total map knowledge.  It's a cycle of unfairness.

There's also zero matchmaking.  Every game seems to be a slaughter on one side, with very few closely contested matches.

Surely you just came across a  2pWn room and got it handed to you ;)

In CoD I have never felt that I couldn't compete with high level xp players. Most of the time the guns you start with are some of the best in the game. I feel that if you play other FPS CoD is one of the easiest FPS games for new players to get into.

Ghost is right BO2 is very polished. CoD games have now surpassed Halo in their menus and interface. Online stats, leagues, emblem customizing, ect. I still prefer Halos gameplay by a long shot though.
