Need a bit of help on a Halo 3 mission (Legendary difficulty)
Full Contact Safari; I can get down the road to where you clear out a bunch of jetpack brutes, then there's the two buildings on the hillside. Thing is, I can handle the first wave of brutes okay once I get to the buildings, but then the second Phantom drops off some more and it takes too many snipe rounds before I run out. If I clear out enough Brutes, well, then there's the Wraith to deal with.
Any suggestions? Anyone out there care to do this mission with me in co-op mode?

First off when you leave the road and go under the tall walkway at the start of this area pick off the brute and the grunts infront of you and head to the right of where you came in, here you can double back up the hill and get ontop of the walkway, there is a sniper up there. From up top you can pick off the brutes easy. Each time you run out of ammo follow the walkway to the left past the silo and hug the mountainside till you get to the building up the back where the marines and ammo crates are, restock and head back to the safety of the walkway. Rinse and repeat :) Some times the jetpack brutes will head over to you you but they split up and are easier to take on.
As for the wraith I usually pick off the infantry first then sneak up close to it through all the open pipes for an easy hyjack!

Also once this area is cleared there is a passenger transport warthog with no gun, grab it. This takes a little to set up but is totally worth it. Look around for a fuelrod gun and give it to one of your marines, from memory there are 2 of them then hop in the transport, if you can get one of your marines in the back with a FRG he will happily fire backwards keeping you safe against the choppers. If you have enough marines left to fill your hog the next two areas will provide more fuelrod guns. You end up with 4 marines firing fuelrods in ALL directions and is way more powerfull than going for the hog with the gun

I try to bring a Beam Rifle with me from the previous area (the one with the shield door and drones). That way, you can take out some of the Brutes from the aforementioned walkway before picking up the sniper rifle.

You know what I ended up doing?
Running past all of them, to the point of the next 'Loading' message. *POOF*, they're all gone. Which royally irritated me, because I really wanted to trash all of them before I moved on!

Oh, and I managed to pull off something last night: Ran past the enemies, managed to hijack a Wraith and rained hell on the Brutes until the friendly Pelicans showed up!
