Sigh...back to square one, the booster fitted last Wednesday did no good of course, so now I am back to India and starting the process all over again. Boy they know how to piss me off. another three days of monitoring and slow escalating up the chain, and they still have not got my phone number right after being told six times the prefix is 087 not 086...

What a band of muppets. Bureaucracy... The most prevalent symptom of a government controlled service.

Problem with that is there in only one way to get broadband here and that is via the mobile network and they all use the same cells, so no matter I'm with I would have the same problem, at least with the NBS sooner or later they have to honor the minimum service standards, other mobile companys would not...but it looks like at least another month of no racing for me...

Gutted fella.

I have an idea on how to fix your issue.

All we need is 400,000 meters of Optical cable and 2 x spliters. I will then plug one end in to my modem and the other in to your xbox they you should get a good net connection then. Also we will have serious speeds from my house to yours. 1

So there isn't sufficient population in your area to warrant a better system? If that's the case, until the area increases demand...

Look at it this way, entire population of country 4.7m and falling, 84% live in the four major population centres. If your sugesting moving? that is not gonna happen for more reasons than I can be bothered to type.

I love how you say "4.7m and falling"

Everyone going, no one coming?

So after waiting a week to hear from 3, I call the "tech" support in India again. "The network team have tried to call you but your number is out of service"..."what the number I am calling you on now"?..."um, yes"..."So not out of service then"..."Um, no"..."They still have the wrong number don't they, after six weeks of being told, they still have the wrong number" "Um, yes"

Give me strength...

I have the same problem with my bank they keep calling somone else and i phoned them to sort it and they argue that they are right and i must have gave them the number at some point. I went online and my details are correct the problem is with their database. Try getting that into their thick skulls.

As customers we are treated like shit, somehow their mess ups become ours...customer service? a contradiction in terms.

Right there.  Customer service is usually an oxymoron, like Military Intelligence.
