Begging for Fm4 settings for being able to see some side view on single screen. I shut mine off a while back, it interferes with painting, and now I've forgotten...
Wow, didn't know you could do this, it's just like pushing the seat back in your car, I had a little play and have come up with 83.5 as best view for me, I dont know if its cause I'm getting better, but I have just done 20 laps Hockenheim short, and hit nearly every apex on every lap, the speed of the car feels more realistic and I can seem to spot the turn in points a lot better, I think having that extra FOV makes a lot of difference, or is it just a trick of my ageing mind, what do you guys think?
No mate, I have yet to give it a try as the tv is on wife time but it makes perfect sense that if you can get some side view it goes someway to assisting alleviate that 2D view that gives no depth perception. When apexing we are trying to hit a point that has gone from view...I cant wait to get back on and see how much difference it makes
Just tried this but found the multi-setting with a single screen was worse.
What I did was enable the angle as suggested and and then went to the test drive using the Bernese Alps track and left the car sitting at the start position.
At the start position with normal mode I could see a sign with a 5 on the right and the view ended pretty much towards the "n" of the word Simpson.
Went into multi-screen mode and and set the angle to 90 degrees - I saw less on the right than in the single screen only mode.
Would leove to hear from anyone else who is trying this. My video connection is 1080p HDMI direct Xbox 360 to 32" Sony TV.
Hmm I've found out it doesn't work in bonnet view and as I just don't like seeing a steering wheel over my steering wheel I'll just have to wait till I get three screens...and that ain't going to be any time soon
Thanks guys - I use cockpit view for event list racing but switch over to bonnet view for online racing. As Knight confirms, "fake multiscreen" doesn't work as well for us single screen folks.
Ooh can that be done? My screen is big enough and to have some idea of whats happening alongside would be great!
go to options, multiscreen, set the tv as host and center.
The higher the degree, the more you'll be able to see.
I think I enjoyed the most play with views of between 80-85 degrees.
Huzzah! overtaking and being overtaken has just become a lot less harrowing

No it has not been fixed and at this point I can't see T10 ever fixing it as I think the last patch will be the last made for FM4.

skiwi, ensure your degrees hidden is set to zero.
