Gotcha Deep. We are on the same page now. I was thinking mainly in terms of AAs. I suppose it can then be stated we will not have complete control until everything is unlocked. However, I thought you meant certain weapons or AAs would be blocked based on the map.

Oh well, it gave us something to talk about for a couple of hours...cheeky

Yeah, the lack of concrete info is getting frustrating. We'll probably all be suprised in one way or another when the game comes out. Hopefully they're all good surprises...

Completely this.  I mean, the Call Of Duty guys are in a different boat with little-to-no information.  Would you rather we have that?

If jetpacks are back (and I'm assuming they will be), that will suck.  However, it never gets old twitch-sniping a jetpacker out of the sky.

I was on the fence about Halo 4, now I'm not buying it.

AA's fucked Halo. And now they are going to carry on fucking up the game.

Thanks for saving me 70 bones. Halo 4 just became a rental.

Damn that's sad. I miss the Halo folks.

Shit, I miss the Halo folks, and I've still been playing the game.  Armor Abilities fucked Reach pretty hard (again, those, the maps, and the bloom/weapon sandbox in my estimation), but those got changed when 343 came into the picture.  There IS a way to have Armor Abilities and to have it Halo, so I've still some guarded optimism that we can cobble the band back together.  I think some members of the band were Halo-ed out and a change might bring them back.  At this point, I have more faith in 343 than Bungie to make the necessary changes and stay true to the spirit of the game, though.

You have to keep an open mind. I think have no legit mid-range weapon, slow gameplay and bad maps turned alot of players off much more so than AAs did.

There's so many opinions on this, it's mind boggling.

I've even read the AR was too powerful close to mid-range. That must be why I'm so good. laugh

Well here's the thing, I don't mind a well-placed grenade almost killing you (as right at your feet), but a grenade a good distance from you knocking out your shields and some health?  Not only that, what's with the proximity grenades that are thrown at me?  Oh they're the same as your typical grenade, but I can hear the fuse as they continue to bounce around until I'm within it's blast distance, then BOOM!  AR's are fine if they kill up close (as they are for cqc) but getting killed from halfway across the map because I'm focusing fire on another enemy is too powerful.  Don't get me started on the needler though.  I'm a magnet for needles not matter how much I strafe and run away.  lol

I like the needler. Reach doesn't have that one go to gun. DMR, pistol, needler, needle rifle, ect. all work in the right situation. Like I said in the early comment Reach really lacked that mid-range gun and with the BR coming back it should make for a very weapon balanced game.

Back on topic. I was hoping the jet-pack would be more of a boost pack. With a boost pack you could boost up to higher levels or jump walls, but you would be able to hover and if you miss your jump you would have to deal with fall damage.

I think a lot of people are on board with the booster pack idea. I've read it many times on other sites. The loiter drives people mad. I like when I'm using it but not when someone else is.

I expect we'll know how the next jetpack works before the end of the month. I am kind on on the edge of my seat waiting for the news since it is so controversial. If people still had to worry about the possibility of AL being in, jetpacks would barely be on the radar.

No. I hate both equally, so with AL gone I can focus all of my hate on jetpacks...cheeky
