That's funny, I remember reading 343 specifically stating that its impossible for them to add new armors and skins because of the way they coded the game.

Perhaps these were in the game all along? I'm surprised modders didn't spill the beans on them by now, if that is true. Strange, unless it was part of a TU.

They must've fired the inepts and brought in real programmers...

Matchmaking still sucks. I don't think they were coded in the game, as modders found the other emblems that are still locked (like Flying Colors and Guilty.) Modders also unlock preorder exclusives and FOTUS without issue.

I'm not a fan of these kinds of unlocks.  Not just in Halo, or console games either.  I'm fine with there being rewards in game for buying these or pre-ordering or higher editions, but the same things should be available through gameplay or to anyone at a later date.  Would people pay 20 bucks for all "bonus" items to be unlocked a couple years after launch?  Some would, and I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to do considering the items have already been created.

I'd rather them do purchasable weapon skins to balance the cost of cheaper and more frquent DLC. The way the weapon skins were handled in Gears of War 3 was excellent.

I would rather them charge for armor and skins and give up the maps packs for free.

I love the idea of armor and skins coming with the toys. I have a lot the the Halo3 figures and the skins would just be a cool bonus.
