The London Olympics - good luck and have fun

I hope everyone who is interested enjoys it and the opening ceremony. I for one, am really excited and quite proud. Have tickets to 2 events. Wife is working 2 weeks on the beach volleyball in Horseguards parade and will be on TV collecting balls. Maybe even the finals. She tells me she will be worth watching ;) I'm looking forward to all athletics (especially relay, 1500, high jump, javelin), beach volleyball (obviously), archery, rowing and women's weightlifting.... Ok, scratch the last ;) So, have fun watching whatever you enjoy.

Currently Playing:

Parcells problem is I'm just starting a two week vacation with little more than half a dozen golf games lined up and fear I might waste the rest of it in front of the TV because of the olympics.   Oh well at least there's live top level/professional "do or die" sports competitions all day long throughout my entire vacation and I have plenty of beer and weed so I'm not overly concerned and also very much looking forward to the sports extravaganza about to unfold.

I'm not overly fond of the entire body of track and field events except the few elite running events (mens 100, 200 & relay, decathlon is great but takes too long)

Parcells really enjoys...mens events only unless otherwise noted

All veledrome bike racing

most rowing events

mountain biking (womens not bad)

mens and womens gymnastics all around event

Tennis - Go Fed (will watch Serena's later matches in the hopes some rusky (or anyone) takes the bitch down)

half the swimming events

Premiere Equestrian event can be great - always wonder what the horse is thinking

but I'm mostly looking forward to EVERY Phelps vs. Lochte gold medal swimdown. Who do you think will win the most when these two compete against each other? Not at all sure who to put money on but I'll root for and go with my bong smokin Phelps!

Best of luck to those of you whose country stands a chance of an overall podium finish...so good luck to the US guys, I don't think it's gonna happen Britain blush Canada be ecstatic with a top ten placing but that is unlikely. Also, a little over an hour into these opening ceremonies and all I can say is BORING. China may have raised the bar too high for normal countries to compete against. Normal, without the millions of children into forced labour and abhorent working conditions.
