I will be entering PC racing soon.

So far I been playing racing games on PS3 and Xbox. I never had a pc that would be dedicated to racing and will have suitable hardware. Last year I tried Iracing. They had a 3 month promotion for 10 bucks or so so I thought what are heck lets give it a try. I had a small pc already attached to tv for movie streaming and I created the account and installed software and spend few hours running in a test mode. It just so happened that my wife's system died few days later and I had to give her that system with iracing software installed. I never got around to play again during that 3 month period. Needless to say I just closed my account and that was it.

2 weeks ago I got email from iracing with the offer to get 2 years membership for $100! I wanted to do it

but I would need a pc. So long story short, I comited for 2 years of iracing and I ordered parts for my gaming system that I will be setting up next week and put iracing on it. Cannot wait!!

New pc is amd base am3+ socket with fx6100 processor and 16 gig or ram and 2 t sata 3 hd.

video is  Radeon hd 7770 (this is bit on cheap side but will do for now)

Gone Broke Racing sounds about right!! Now that me Fanatec Turbo S wheel start acting out, I am thinking about replacing it. For me the fanatec is the only option as I already

invested in clubsport pedals and love them! So now question is:  CSR or Elite. I am leaning towards Elite but I would not mount it to my printer table that I use now. so here comes issue

of the rig:):) I already set my heart towards rseat. Total is around $1100 (not counting shipping) and that is in addition to the money I just spend on pc. Yep! Gone Broke Racing is about me.

You will really enjoy PC racing.  I made the switch early this year and I couldn't be happier.  While I loved Forza and the crew here, Forza was lacking some of the extended features I was looking for in racing (flags, pit stop/fuel strategies, TRACKS).

Gone Broke Racing is made up of 90% people from here so it was a no brainer to make the switch to the pc sims.  Between the multitude of events at GBR and the additional events I've signed up for since joining Race2Play, I'm in racing overload heaven.  You also have the two organized groups (here and GBR) so you've got both your xbox and pc racing needs met with the same great group of clean, mature racers.  You'll have a blast!

For cockpits, while I see you have your sights set on an rSeat (GREAT cockpit btw) don't discount the Obutto oZone.  I have a review here on these forums of mine.  I was looking at both the rSeat and the Obutto but the Obutto met my needs better.  If you are looking for a potentially more budget friendly rig, I would take a look at the oZone.

Cheers!

the actual reason why I like rseat that important to me and adjustable pedal plate. I cannot have almost any angle on it. Just the way my feet works. I tried Playseat and I  just did not enjoy is as coudl not rest my left leg and kept it in the air all the time. Obato does not look as bed as Playseat but still I rather have something I can adjust to my needs.

Thank you for information though.  Cannot wait to get started.

No worries at all.  You can adust the Obutto pedal plate to an almost 0 pedal angle as there are two vertical mounting points on the frame.  You will love the rSeat though, I know Troysloth raves about his!

Cheers!
